the closest thing to an x-file that has ever happened to you?

UH well I used to volunteer in the pediatric ward of the local hospital and before it was the pediatrics wing it was hospice care. Very haunted. That's pretty much all I can think of?

oh my i don't remember how i found you but i didn't follow forever because i used to be so scared about following people but eventually i did and i am so glad i did cause you followed me back and yeah!!! wish i was up your way more often so we could eat dewey's pizza. :)

6. Did they feel rejection or affection as a child?

Both. Rejection was minor while he was still in Black Marsh, more of temporary exclusion than outright rejection by the little ones of the tribe. Shadows would also completely ignore J’hasi and refuse to even acknowledge he even existed if J’hasi angered him or otherwise didn’t let him have his way.

Affection was given by Sees-In-Mist, as well as his first slave master’s mistress (whose name J’hasi either forgot or never learned). Both had differing types of affection: Sees was gruff most of the time, though when J’hasi needed emotional reassurance, they were quiet and gentle with him. The mistress was generous with praise and affection when J’hasi earned it. Even when he did something wrong, she was calm and patient with him, being just as kind to him as if he were her own son.

16. What does your character do for a living? How do they see their profession? What do they like about it? Dislike?

Usually some form of mercenary or bounty hunter. Freelance adventurer is just a nicer way to put it. He sees his job as something that needs to be done, despite the unpleasant choices he sometimes is forced to make. As a whole, he feels that it’s better him bloodying his blade than have someone else bleed because they weren’t ready. Not only does it put coin in his pocket, it helps protect the common folk in the area, be they part of the Empire or not.

He likes it when he’s managed to help someone, be it finding stolen possessions, saving their life, or finding a loved one of theirs safe and sound. He comes across too many nameless faces, their own stories to tell, but cut short by some unfortunate accident or run-in with something with blades or fangs and a mean streak. He’s not fond of being called a mercenary, as it usually carries a negative connotation, and he has enough of a reputation being a drifter, thank you.

26. What does your character’s home look like? Personal taste? Clothing? Hair? Appearance?

No house (least not anymore), though his living quarters is usually cozy in some way. He has a particular way of arranging his given space, as he has a balance between clutter and openness to deal with. Usually that balance is only applied to semi-permanent or permanent housing.

He favors practicality and simplicity. His clothes are durable and yet easily replaced, his armor is usually very clean and simple in its design. He usually keeps his mane either loose or gathered in a tail, sometimes with braids, depending on his anxiety levels. Overall he gives off a wanderer vibe, traveling from place to place without settling down any one place for long.

He doesn’t do all that well in high society settings. Just the thought of anything remotely formal with people who’d just as soon stab you in the back as they would offer a polite smile and a handshake, even both at the same time makes him uncomfortable.

36. Do they like to suffer? Like to see other people suffering?

No, and no, though there are exceptions in both cases. If he believes he deserves the suffering, he still doesn’t like it, but usually will allow the brunt of it to fall on him. As far as others go, if they were complete bastards and caused unnecessary suffering for their own amusement, well if it takes him a little while to completely finish them off once he has them cornered, no one usually complains.

46. Is your character tall? Short? What about size? Weight? Posture? How do they feel about their physical body?

J’hasi’s average, maybe a little short heightwise. He’s got a small, compact body, wiry and underweight. His posture is usually pretty good, barring when he’s around a lot of people or in a small, crowded space (or both). He usually keeps his head up high unless he doesn’t want to stick out quite as much. He was drilled on proper posture from a very young age, and his time as a mercenary-soldier only reinforced that.

He’s very uncomfortable with his body. He doesn’t like that his ribs stick out, that he’s short, or otherwise small in stature (larger opponents have an advantage over him). He’s still uncomfortable about his fur, his whiskers, anything that’s different about him in comparison to the average Argonian. The dysmorphia comes and goes in terms of strength, but it’s always there in the back of his head, brought to the forefront every time he sees his furred, unscaled body. Another reason he likes to wear plenty of layers: less of himself to see as well, as well as the appearance of having a fuller frame.
