I am adopting another gerbil
She fights with others so her owner is giving her away
She’s a white female named Sneed and they’re fairly sure she’s deaf (which would explain the fights since she can’t communicate with the others by sound, and deafness is more common in white animals)
I’ll be picking her up Wednesday night

Sneed is definitely settling in—-she’s chewed up her boxes and I saw her tunneling!
I do think she’s deaf, she doesn’t react at all to my being there unless she can see me, whereas the other gerbils always seemed to know I was there from my footsteps or voice

Picked up Sneed and she was SO IMMEDIATELY SWEET AND DOCILE! Shes settling into her new enclosure now.
