It’s come to my attention that I graduated three weeks ago, and I’m yet to make a post thanking those who helped me along the way. Truth be told, the list of people are more than just the friends and family that have encouraged me through my grad school years. It goes all the way back to my elementary school years, when the teachers said they always found me reading or writing. In fifth grade, we had to do MAP testing and I was one of the last to leave the room during the Lit test (I took over an hour and missed an entire class). When those results came out, my lit teacher said I was in the top percentile. My thanks goes out to more than just my English and Literature teachers. Gratitude goes out to every teacher I had (yes, even the math teachers...even though that was my worst subject ever). You taught me perseverance to fight through my hardest days. Thank you to my coworkers that listened to me complain about my homework and how tired I was (you were probably sick of hearing it, considering most of you were wives and mothers with bigger issues to deal with). I can never thank my family enough for letting me leave functions early (or not make me show up at all so I could take care of a final paper). Lastly, but definitely important, thank you to Kit and Joe for taking Mom and me on an incredible trip out to New Hampshire so I could participate in the graduation ceremony. Words will never express how grateful I am. Through the tears, depression, loss of loved ones, not to mention the laughter and love over the years, I made it. I’m a grad school alum! #snhu2018 #grateful #thankyou #blessed #herestothefuture
