WHY IS SOREY BRUSHING LUNARRE’S HAIR?
@snickering-kitsune
All things considered, this had been...UNEXPECTED.
This assassin certainly did not remind Cecil of a heroic spirit. Yes, he gets the innate sense that this fox is exactly the type of servant his father had warned him of. Too cunning for his own good, too crafty to assume loyalty.
That’s just fine, in truth. Cecil doesn’t trust many people to begin with. It seems this servant will be just as the rest of the world. Privy to no secrets, no bonds. He will now have to watch for the knife in his back IN HIS OWN HOME.
He’s had to leave the crafty fox alone in his house for the majority of the day while he works, and is praying not to come home and find the place destroyed, as though he’s acquired an unruly pet. He isn’t sure exactly how wily KITSUNE are.
“ Assassin, I’m home. “

“You touch my pile of leaves, and you’ll find yourself on your back quicker than you can blink.” Theo already had her rake in hand, and she wasn’t afraid to use it. She gripped the handle of the rake tightly, eyes narrowing slightly. Almost daring him to touch her pile of leaves. This was no human, Theo knew that much. Even if she was blind she’d still know this was a malak.
When asked who she was, Theo was parted her lips to speak. “Theodora, a wind malak. And that’s all you need to know. Now, what about you malak? Who are you?”

“It is not meant to be.”

Unnerving was truly the only suitable way to describe the inhuman cackle that escaped Lunarre as he crept on closer. His steps were slow, carefully planned, akin to how a wild animal would approach his prey. Mikleo’s staff is gripped tighter in his hands, and he swings it at his foe forcefully, little time to call upon artes. All he could do is keep whacking this annoying hellion and hope he went away.
“Don’t you have anything better to do?”
He shouts in a rather demanding manner. Panic rushes over. Dammit, there was so much he had to do. He couldn’t let himself be eaten here!
Does Jeanne have any affection for her homeland? Even in the modern era?
[ That would be an absolute negative. Her hate for France burns even brighter then the very flames she handles. It is something that will be a part of her for as long as Jeanne lives as it is a fundamental part of who she is. For it’s betrayal, for the neglect and the unforgiveness it will be her goal and will for it all to burn and be reduced to ashes.
Living out a modern life there will most likely end in Jeanne moving out of the country due to a stale life or something generally bad just leaving her with the will to leave it all behind. Who knows where she will be heading? At least as much of her old life will be left there and to be never spoken about again there. ]

“I really, really don’t think that’s a good idea...” What in the world was Lunarre doing? Rose... actually had no idea.
