Lemon Shark Facts
Lemon sharks are basically ocean puppies. Despite being able to grow up to 8 feet long, and having a bite force of around 700 - 1000 psi, they are really not too aggressive.
they are still wild animals, so you have to be cautious. Yes, even if you wanna pet them, their bites can cause deep lacerations and in some cases break bone. They're chill, just don't provoke or scare them.
they also can remember divers and differentiate them, even by their heartbeat by a kinda 6th sense of theirs where they can sense faint electrical pulses. This can help them hunt too, especially in murky waters!
Lemon sharks can become jealous of other sharks getting attention from divers and push them away. And since sharks don't have hands, when they're curious of something they'll bump it with their nose or give it a little bite.
Lemon sharks usually cruise at slow speeds, but when they hunt they can reach up to 12 miles per hours in bursts.
Lemon sharks are also pretty smart. They can remember people, things, and solve some basic puzzles.
also they look like they're smiling all the time ah
