Wow. This one is hard. Obviously "What do you want from me, Shepard?" is a freaking angst mine, but something I rarely see people talk about is Virmire.
In Mass Effect 1, when Sovereign speaks to you and It's revealed what the Reapers are and what they did to all those civilizations before and what they are gonna do to us too, Garrus utters this scared "They're harvesting us. They'll kill us all!" and that's just???? A+++++ voice acting on Brandon's side tbh. It's literally the only time in all the games that Garrus sounds so terrified. It really brings a lot to his character, because most of the time, especially in the first game, if he's emotional, he's agitated or annoyed or uncertain, but this is the only moment that you can see that this guy is genuinely scared. And I love it.
➼Idea for a story
What haven't I explored about this guy yet? Damn. I've recently been really into his relationship with his father, which you can see in pretty much all my ongoing fics right now (I apologize for that), and I wouldn't mind maybe writing up a one-shot about those two. Reconciling. Reconnecting. Forgiving each other. Just... Just a healthy father/son relationship, that's all I want.
