Do you think there's a reason why Bert would ever love Annie? They barely even talked and Bert wasn't that concerned when Reiner forced Annie to strip Marco out of his 3DMG.

 I’m not convinced that Isayama determined from chapter one that Bert had a crush on Annie. It felt more to me like something he decided on much later in the series either as what he determined to be a natural character progression or as a way to add extra drama. Or maybe, like in the example above, as a way to portray Reiner as a  bit of a douche :P When the one-sided crush became canon, I remember feeling entirely caught off guard by it. I don’t mind Bert having a crush on Annie. I think Annie is very crush worthy. I just hadn’t seen a lot of evidence of it until it was announced.

I've been seeing some post about how Marco's death scene is going to happen next episode (9) and it's been freaking those who haven't read the manga out. I don't think it's gonna happen since I've read the manga but I'd like your opinion on the matter (and hopefully some clarification.)

Yesterday I was on record saying to friends that no way was this going to happen but it appears I was very wrong. Anime fans won’t have to wait two more seasons to learn marco’s fate. They will likely find out this Saturday.

I won’t make this long because my friend @guyinlovewitheremika has already done the work in this post. He points out that in the episode preview, Bert is shown in flash back; you can see the buildings behind him.

And comparing that preview image with Bert’s reaction to Marco’s death from ch77, you’ll notice that even the tear and sweat drops are identically positioned.

So yes anon, next up on Season two of Attack of Titan is the attack on Marco.

Mama, Can we talk about the dirty joke (poop jokes?) between Zeke and Colt? :V Gracias.

Yes! How perfect was that moment??? I loved seeing Zeke relaxed and joking with Colt. Too bad Magath interrupted before we saw Colt’s reaction.

We’ve mostly seen Zeke as a rock throwing murderous badass, so any chance to see his more human side is most welcome.  I was thinking this isn’t the first time we’ve seen him being a total dork. In chapter 77, he did the embarrassing hot coffee dance in front of Reiner and Bertholt :)

If Lost Girls novel is considered canon, Krugle couldn't be Annie father because Annie once kicked her dad until he became crippled and had to walk with limp, so Annie's dad is definitely not a titan shifter.

I shouldn’t have implied that Annie was Kruger’s kid. The person who sent the ask wasn’t implying it, and even in the crackiest of crack scenarios, it’s not possible. I was just being dumb.

But I think the point of interest here is that Reiner singled Anne out. He questioned her loyalties. It appeared as though she had something to prove that they didn’t. And when we wrote about chapter 77, many of us questioned that. We wondered why.

But even before chapter 77, Annie was presented as an outsider on “Team Warrior”. I don’t want to go digging, but I can vaguely remember meta from 2014 and 2015 that highlighted this.

Annie’s family having a dark past is something that makes perfect sense to me. A traitor in the family - whether it’s Kruger, Grice or another of the revolutionaries would fit perfectly.

wow guys you sure do like asking about stuff that makes me sad ><, hmm well the thing is I actually don’t cry very easily when it comes to media, so off the top of my head I cant really think crying because of an anime, but I can tell you for sure that chapter 77 of SNK made me cry a lot....

(also side note: Undertale had me crying for a solid 20 minutes after finishing the pacifist route cause I was so damn happy and I didn’t want to leave them tbh)
