Capítulo 89 lançado!

Aviso importante principalmente para os aperitivos que já leram o capítulo em outro lugar (contém spoiler):

O Isayama publicou uma nota no blog dele dizendo que o capítulo 89, lançado na Bessatsu Shonen Magazine de fevereiro, veio com um erro que ele próprio deixou passar. Na versão lançada na revista, o Tio Isa coloca o Eren refletindo sobre a possibilidade de devorar a Historia transformada em Titã para controlar as habilidades do Titã Original. Só que isso foi mal colocado, na verdade o Eren deveria estar pensando na possibilidade de TOCAR esse titã e não DEVORAR (não há fundamento para ele pensar em devorar a Historia uma vez que ele não precisou fazer isso com o Titã da Dina).

O Tio Isa disse que vai consertar esse detalhe quando o capítulo sair na versão encadernada e pediu desculpas pelo ocorrido por ter confundido alguns leitores.

A nossa versão do capítulo, entretanto, JÁ ESTÁ CORRIGIDA! ;D

   A staff que trabalhou nesse capítulo contou com a Carol na tradução, Hanji na revisão e Mikki na revisão/edição. Não esqueçam de agradecer a essas lindinhas por esse trabalho caprichado!

Não custa lembrar que ainda estamos precisando de editores e tradutores de japonês ou inglês (intermediário/avançado).

Editores não precisam saber inglês, mas o requisito mínimo é mexer no Photoshop. Tradutores precisam ser fluentes no idioma escolhido, nada de Google Translator, POR FAVOR.

Vale dizer também que andei pensando na possibilidade de pegar as novels de Before the Fall e Lost Girls para traduzir... MAS, novels precisam de tradutores dedicados e atualmente temos apenas 4 tradutoras ativas que não estão dando conta do recado (vide todos os projetos atrasados). Enquanto não tivermos staff suficiente, infelizmente, a ideia não poderá ir para frente (mas quem sabe a segunda temporada não anima o pessoal, né?)

I literally have a headache trying to understand chapter 89. I'm sure the spoilers have caught everyone off guard, but what does it all mean??? I guess I'll have to wait in suspense for a translated version.

Some initial thoughts about SnK89

Okay so... just my personal thoughts super quickly, in order to compare with what we’ll learn once the full translation is out:

Eren Kruger knew Mikasa’s and Armin’s names (and basically said the same thing Grisha said to Eren when he injected him) but when Grisha asks who they are, Kruger says he doesn’t know and he wonders “whose memory it is”.

Time loop? Or memories shared across time because of the titan power? That would go with why a random kid can get the power if the titan shifter dies without giving it to anyone, the titan power would be a link between all the people who once carried it (disregarding the continuous flow of time and space in that case).

It’s possible people being linked by the same titan power can actually all share memories, especially in case of a loop:

that would be why Historia remembers Frieda being sometimes super angry at humanity because she had the First King’s memory/will

and why Eren now remembers his father’s entire past, Kruger’s words as well as what his dad did to Frieda and her family

Maybe that can also explain Mikasa’s headaches and Levi’s suspicous glances sometimes. The Ackermans and Asians are two minorities that are different from the rest of the walls and they’re probably not related at all to Ymir’s people, but maybe the shared memory possibility could also work for them within their respective lineage. 

Levi’s dejà vu feeling would be the result of being an Ackerman (and either getting flashbacks of Ackerman stuff or, in case of a loop, of old timeline(s) he already lived through)

And Mikasa’s headaches could come from remembering things because she’s an Ackerman and an Asian (or in case of a loop because she’s having many flashbacks about what she already lived through).

Btw, Mikasa so didn’t look good when she got out of prison that Eren gently went like “u okay, u look thin, are you eating enough???” (aww <3 he cute) ((edit: ok just in case other people ask, he literally said “did you lose some weight? you should eat properly”))

Ymir’s life was totally shitty and she basically suffered through the same thing as Grisha and his rebellious friends, except that she became a shifter by eating Berik/Marcel aka Reiner’s pal (who was then most likely replaced by Annie, except the titan power was different) and this chapter doesn’t make it likely imo that she’s the “original Ymir” 

I think the people who raised her thought she was some kind of reincarnation which would explain why she received the name Ymir (and why she seemed to be an important person to them).

Sasha looks A+ okay, recovering and eating an apple. 

Historia is back + Long Reunion And Talk With Zackley And Co (too long for me to try and read, sorry)

Eren's outburst is because he made a link between Dina’s lineage and Historia’s family but he lies and says it’s nothing because he didn’t tell Mikasa (and Armin I suppose) yet about the fact that Dina was the titan who ate his mom and Hannes.
