Snoqualmie Tribe buys Snoqualmie Falls land, Salish Lodge for $125M

This marks a major victory in the tribe's pursuit to reclaim land it considers sacred.

This is really exciting news. The Snoqualmie Tribe, following generation’s of work to reclaim their ancestral and sacred land. They were able to purchase it from the Muckleshoot Tribes and prevent further development of the forests surrounding the Falls.

Casino developer One hundred Sands has had its license revoked.

FBC News has received confirmation that the decision was made by the government yesterday and has been communicated to the executives of the company. In December 2011 One Hundred Sands was given a 15 year exclusive casino license for the construction of a $290m casino and resort in Denarau Nadi.
