There's just a few weeks left of our snowboard season here. This is my latest painting. This one's been created for Brad. "Chair 4 To Tucker" Acrylic painting on canvas, size 16"x20."

Maëlle Ricker

Maëlle Ricker was born in 1978 in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Ricker's competitive snowboarding career spanned two decades. In 1998, she won her first FIS World Cup gold medal and competed at her first Olympics. The following year, she won gold at the X Games. She was unable to compete at the Salt Lake City games due to an injury. Ricker returned to the Olympics in 2006, where she had a serious crash during the snowcross event and narrowly missed a medal. By the time the Winter Olympics came to her home country, Ricker had accumulated 14 career victories and more than 30 podium finishes. At the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, she won the gold medal in boardercross. In 2013, Ricker won her first World Championship title. In 2015, she announced her retirement from competition.
