Norway's peak season for the Northern Lights is between late September and the beginning of April, though that's to do more with the long, dark nights at this time of year.

Ok, so I got stuck in Hyvinkää under heavy snowfall when the train was late. Something in extreme weather always draws me. I instantly took out my camera and walked around the station.

Somehow, summer rarely inspires me - there is too much light, too many colors and details. Winter simplifies everything. Isolated colds and warms create tonal contrast and build quiet tension.
