So yesterday afternoon the boredom of yet another Snow Day set in... so I decided to do some cooking; for myself, but also for all the amazing and lovely staff who were either trecking through the snow to get to and from work, or staying the night. I made my tandoori chicken drumsticks 🍗 (these are rather popular with the staff and housemates, so I don’t feel too big headed saying they must be pretty good!), potato 🥔 wedges from scratch (everyone liked these, too!), some stir fry 🥗, and I baked a sponge cake 🍰... yes, I had a pretty busy afternoon 😂! However it was all worth it seeing some of the staff get a hot meal before they had to walk home through the snow (LMC is relying heavily on staff who can walk to and from work... the staff are relying heavily on wellies and snow suits!) And everyone who’s working today is very excited because they get CAKE 🍰... once I ice it! I was brought up to always say please and thank you, to write thank you notes... but so often it’s easy to forget carers are people too. And they really appreciate a Thank You now and again ❤️ cooking for everyone is my way of saying thank you.
