Rufus-necked Snowfinch Pyrgilauda ruficollis
It is naturally found in Tibet and adjacent areas of central and western China, in the alpine temperate grassland and barren stony steppes and plateaus. Flight is weak and low, and rarely over long distances. It feeds on the ground, on a variety of small seeds and insects.

These snowfinches are found in open habitats, including meadows and pastures, in parts of China, India, and Nepal. They eat seeds and insects, foraging on the ground, often in domestic animal dung. Breeding between May and June, either solitarily or in small groups, they build their nests in rock holes or abandoned burrows from plant materials and hair.

January 13, 2019 - White-winged Snowfinch (Montifringilla nivalis)
Found in a spotty range from southern Europe east to southwestern China, these sparrows live in rocky areas and meadows above the tree-line and up to the snow-line. Foraging in pairs and small flocks, they feed mostly on seeds and some scraps from ski resorts during the winter. At other times of year they eat insects and spiders. Breeding from May to July or August, they often nest in loose colonies of between two and six pairs, usually raising two broods a year. They build bulky nests from dry grass, moss, other plant materials, and feathers in crevices or rodent burrows. Females incubate the eggs and both parents feed the chicks.
