I remember hearing this song for the first time 5 years ago, and I tried so hard not to stare at him as it played, pretending the lyrics didn’t take the words right out of my heart. Then a few nights ago, he told me a story about thinking of me when he first heard the song, the year before that.

Even if this is how our story ends, I think this is going to become my favourite bit.
