Shiro x Reader - Part 2

A few days went by. You were still inside the healing pod. The wounds you sustained from battle and then from protecting Shiro from what could have been a fatal blow caused you to have substantial injuries. In fact, Coran suspected that the blow you took to your abdomen was going to leave a long, nasty-looking scar. But you were alive, and that was most important.

While you were healing, Shiro had been left to his own thoughts.

Of course you had risked yourself to save him. You were teammates sworn to put the safety of your comrades before your own. He knew that. Everyone knew that. In war, people get hurt, and people die.

But that never makes it any easier. And no one innocent ever asks for war.  

Shiro turned and looked at your sleeping form inside the pod. You had been stripped of your protective armor, the gash across your midsection clearly visible. It was still a bright and puckered pink, but it was healing. Another few days in the pod, then you could come out. You’d have to take a few days’ rest after that, but you would be okay, Allura reassured him.
