Author's note: Sorry if there's any English mistakes. This is my first time doing headcanons.
Bishamonten
- The wiki says he's very stoic, takes his duty seriously, and isn't afraid of standing his ground against any god.
- But I say he's not just a stoic, workaholic guy. He can be a very caring and sweet guy, but just in private.
- Not very fond of PDA, but he won't mind if you hold onto his pants, arms, or hands. Just don't expect him to react a lot.
- Gives the best bear hugs after Jurojin. You can't tell me otherwise.
- He likes training somewhere secluded so he won't hurt anyone, but he also likes to read, meditate, and sometimes be alone either by a river or just enjoying nature. Quite the opposite of what you would expect from the god of fortune in wars and battles.
- As the leader and third eldest in the group, he cares a lot about his companions (aka his brothers and sister), and often needs to break out fights between Ebisu and Hoteison, or make sure none of them overwork themselves.
- Love head scratches.
Benzaiten
- The wiki says she's rather relaxed and laid-back. I agree, she does look quite laid-back.
- As the goddess of music and arts, she likes to paint and play music. She has a room full of paintings she made, the same room also has a lot of music sheets laying around.
- Benzaiten is also very caring towards her companions/brothers, being kinda like a mother figure for them. Being the goddess of knowledge also makes her the best advice giver of the group.
- When she's not around with the others, which is rare, she's usually somewhere calm where no one can interrupt her while she paints or play a song.
- Doesn't mind PDA. If one of the other 6 asks for a hug, she will give them one without hesitation, no matter with who or where they are.
- Partners in crime with Daikokuten. Both will put makeup on their sleepy targets, no matter who it is. Bishamonten fell victim once, Fukurokuju is the most common victim.
- Benzaiten also has a very good singing voice. She can put Bishamonten to sleep quite easily with the right lullaby.
Ebisu
- Oh boi, here we go. Anger issues. MASSIVE anger issues.
- Okay, I'm exaggerating, but he is a hotheaded guy according to the wiki. Somebody throw him into a quiet room and lock him there, this man will pop a vein one day.
- You'd think that since he's the god of fishing and trading, he would use these as a way of calming down.
- Well, you're not wrong. At least not too wrong. Because fishing, while also calming him, is one of the many things that makes him angry.
- He and Hoteison often get into fights, Hoteison's fault most of the time, leading to Bishamonten to break them out and Benzaiten to patch them up.
- Quite a scaredy cat. Gets easily startled and falls easily for Daikokuten's or Loki's pranks.
- He tries to act tough and bad boy like, but he's actually just a silly angry guy.
Hoteison
(He looks like he has bunny teeth in this panel)
- Not much is known about his personality, so I'll be using what I saw in the anime.
- Nervous boy. In the official dub from my country (Brazil), when they separated from Zerofuku, Hoteison says: "Fiquei nervoso" which means "I got nervous" in Portuguese Brazilian.
- So I believe he can be nervous a lot of times depending on the situation. Such as getting nervous after almost harming a mother and her child when they were still Zerofuku, or getting nervous about talking to someone.
- But when he's around his companions/brothers and sister, he doesn't act as nervous.
- Terrible at puzzles. Wanna see him mad? Give him a puzzle that looks hard to solve but in reality is quite simple. Then watch him get frustrated and angry.
- Acts tough, but like the others, he's very caring and understanding towards those who deeply matter for him.
- Loves to take a nap under a shade of a tree.
Daikokuten
- Looks like a cinnamon roll. He is a cinnamon but a spicy one. He can bite.
- If he's around strangers, he will be very silent, but if he's around his companions/brothers and sister, he will be full on 220.
- Won't stop talking, especially if it's about the divine punishment for Buddha. Beware of his pranks, they tend to be a lot worse than Loki's.
- Especially if he doesn't like you. If he dislikes you, expect to be pranked almost everyday. DO NOT ACCEPT FOOD FROM HIM if you're disliked. As the god of fortune in cooking, he knows damn well what to give someone to make them sick.
- Now if you're someone he likes, he won't prank you as often and said pranks won't be too bad. You may accept food from him, this one won't harm you.
- N° 1 king of being clingy. I mentioned in my first post about my au that I hc that Bishamonten was the part that made Zerofuku clingy to their mother. Now this spot belongs to Daikokuten.
- Wanna make him shut up? Give him a sudoku or ask him to make you a snack.
Fukurokuju
- Since Fukurokuju is the god of fortune in happiness, I don't doubt he's quite the happy guy.
- Given how he looks I'd say he's the oldest of the group, followed by Jurojin and Bishamonten.
- Major grandpa vibes. Supports Daikokuten on his harmless pranks, in his words, "it's good to be creative, let the boy have fun.".
- He likes to drink tea, read a few poems and play chess.
- He doesn't mind when Jurojin picks him up in case he's being too slow, but he prefers to walk instead.
- As the oldest he often scolds Bishamonten, for overworking himself, and Hoteison and Ebisu for getting into fights. Sometimes he hits them in there legs with that cane he has.
- Unlike Buddha, Fukurokuju does share his candies with other people.
Jurojin
- Much like Bishamonten, I believe he also has a stoic personality and isn't afraid to throw hands with a god.
- 2° best bear hug giver.
- Back when they first emerged from Zerofuku, he often let Daikokuten sit on his shoulder so he could keep up with the rest. Now that Daikokuten stays most of his time inside that armor, that doesn't happen as much.
- When he's not with the others, he can be found in a meadow petting a few deers or cows.
- Jurojin doesn't talk much, and when he does, he only does so with his companions/brothers and sister.
- Heavy sleeper. There can be happening an earthquake and he will still sleep through it.
- Once kept Daikokuten on a leash.
Zerofuku
- SWEET BABY YOU SHOULD HAVE NOT DIED😭 That bastard demon should have died in your place.
- As we saw in the anime/manga, when Buddha sees Zerofuku's soul with the 7 gods of luck souls all together, I believe that Zerofuku COULD separate himself into the 7 but still keep his main body intact.
- I hc that sometimes he felt too lonely, so he would separate himself into the 7 to have a sense of family.
- I hc that he doesn't see the other 7 just as parts of him, but also as his big brothers and big sister.
- He loves making origami birds and eat sweets. He also loves it when he gets his hair braided by someone.
- If he hug you don't expect it to be short, even if you're someone he just met. He loves hugs.
- Tho, if you do end up ignoring him he will be a little sad. Don't ignore this sweet boy :(
Extra: I believe that if Zero hadn't died, he and the 7 gods would have probably been best friends with Buddha. Maybe not all, maybe just friends or colleagues of something, but Zerofuku would definitely be Buddha's best friend😭
