I'm also seriously considering adding Lena and Kara from Supergirl, cuz little fun fact about me: I was obsessed with Supergirl when I was a kid. But I think eight people might be too many.

i really like snyder clex for their opposite personalities esp bc like... lex is DEFINITELY a movies guy and clark is a book/comic guy. so you take them to see a movie thats based off a book/comic and lex is having the time of his life and clark is sitting there like ugggghhhhhhh. That being said clark absolutely has no idea what warrior angel is but its lexs special interest so he just got slammed wirh a pile of comics and then all 4 movies that star christopher reeve

I think Eisenberg's Lex Luthor could have been a very interesting character. In a different movie, with a different Superman, and he if wasn't called Lex Luthor. In a movie without Batman and Wonder Woman there so the plot could feel more focused.

The idea that Superman triggers his religious trauma is curious. Let him be unstable, let him be scared, let him be psychotic and dangerous still.

I think Snyder had something going on with the idea of Superman, as a symbol of hope and light and all things good, being confronted with the fact that he is genuinely terrifying to some people. An all powerful creature roaming in the sky above law and order.

I remember Corenswet saying that “Superman needs to be huggable”. I would pay to see his Superman against Eisenberg's character. Superman wants to be good, wants to help and inspire people, the idea that to someone he is the cause of such panic and fear to someone should deeply unsettle him.

Yes, this is much more about the character's inner turmoil than it is about Superman himself, but that's when Clark extends the hand. You are seriously telling me that Clark Kent would see a man nearly go into a panic attack because of him and do nothing?

Maybe that character could have been helped, maybe could have been redeemed, maybe he's too far gone for that. But Clark would try.

The conversation here is interesting. A character like that could have been a great Superman villain. But Lex Luthor is not the character for it. And Henry Cavill is not the Superman for it.

Just name that character literally anything else.
