A theory that I made when I was about 14 and I still believe to this day is that Yuri!!! On Ice and CardCaptor Sakura that place in the same universe and that Victor Nikiforov is a disguise of Yue just like Yukito Tsukishiro once was. timelines be damned.
SAME PERSON:
Disclaimer: I have not read any of the manga nor have I watched Clear Card. I do acknowledge that this breaks a bit if Sakura's canon lore, but I don't really care.
My theory/headcanon states that after events of CardCaptor Sakura, Kero once again begins to search for new Master and Guardian for the cards, and therefore a new disguise for Yue is in order, that being the russian figure skater Victor Nikiforov.
Now, I think that Victor is just as unaware of this as Yukito was in the beginning.
Let's see my "evidence":
- Grey/silver hair.
- We know essentially nothing about Victor's family or past. That being because he, just like Yukito, does not have any, possessing at most some fake memories forged by Yue.
- Victor and Yukito are both notoriously good at everything they tried. That being because they are, in reality, a near perfect moon angel.
- Large appetites. Although that's a characteristic mostly attributed to Yuuri, I would like to say that we also see that Victor is also a foodie. In Cardcaptor Sakura, it is established that Yukito's large appetite is because he's subconsciously trying to maintain both himself and Yue's powers.
- They're notoriously attractive in-universe, having multiple people fall in love with them. It was explained in Cardcaptors that some people tend to fall in love with Yue's alter egos due to subconscious being attracted to his powers.
- YUKITO AND VICTOR HAVE THE SAME BIRTHDAY: DECEMBER 25TH! When Yue was making his human alter ego, he used the same birthday!
- Also, they're all gay. That's because Yue is gay and Yukito/Victor are just his personas.
- They married dark haired japanese men. Yue has a type.
Someday I'll write the fanfic where Kero chooses Yurio as the next cardcaptor and Viktor is Yue, you'll see! (do not count on it)
Reblog if you don't feel represented by either U.S. political party and are sick of being demonized by both sides for not fully supporting either of them
Never had I thought I would be making an 'about me' post, but alas I want friends with similar worldviews, so if you think we'd vibe, don't hesitate to message me!
Hey!
My name's Rose.
My asks are always open, but unless you actually ask a question I most likely will not answer you (this is a habit I have to change, I know), however I will answer any respectful direct messages!
I am in many fandoms, but here's a few I will always return to:
• Harry Potter (I stand with J. K. Rowling)
° Severus Snape and Tom Riddle are my comfort characters.
• The Lost Boys (1987)
• Dracula (book by Bram Stoker)
• Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles (books, not the series)
• Lots of Musicals
• Divine Comedy
• Death Note
• Mythologies (mainly Norse and Greek, but I always seek to learn more)
I'm a conservative feminist.
I'm not a radfem cuz I am not and I will never be a leftist, but the political spectrum is truly a circle cuz damn they do make some good points.
I am a firm believer that characters appearances should never be changed when adapting. This means that I despise the HBO Snape in the same way I despise whitewashing. Do not get me started with how much I hate the 2022 IWTV, such a disgrace.
DO NOT INTERACT:
• Any type of political extremism, be it far left or far right.
• Anti-JKR people
• NSFW accounts
If any of what I said puts me on your DNI list, please, feel free to block me and we will part ways peacefully :)
Louis said that when he and Lestat went out with Claudia, they used to say that she was his daughter and Lestat was just a family friend.
My favorite Anne Rice headcanon is that people look at Claudia, perfect blonde, blue eyes, smiling doll face, look at Louis, brunette, green eyes, depression, look at Lestat, again perfect blonde, blue eyes and maniac smile. And yeah... someone's wife definitely jumped the fence.
greatest dynamic in the world IS strange, eccentric asshole and their normal and polite friend who on closer inspection is actually worse in deeply weird and unexpected ways
care and tenderness as violating and coercive acts. being forced into vulnerability for your own good by someone who does not actually see you as a person but as a symbol or a figure too valuable to let die. you have power over so much but not your own body. you have lost the right to risk. everybody cheered
I really don't like when people try to pretend Light it's misogynistic? Saw an anti Lawlight comment saying that shippers tend to flatten Light's character to make it work. And unfortunately I think they do have somewhat of a point, you really won't see Light treating woman nearly as bad in fanfiction as he does in canon. Even more if the author likes Misa or intends to ship her with someone.
In a lot of ways, you also don't see fanfiction Light being nearly as egoistic.
I say this a woman, I kinda wish we saw more of that side of Light in fanwork. I do think it's pretty funny, cuz sometimes the superiority complex is just that relatable.
Light's line about "this is the first time I ever been tempted to hit a woman" had me dying, honestly took the words out of my mouth, no notes. Misa was [still is] so annoying, I was so mad when she was introduced I also wanted to forcefully make her go away and yeah, Light, I get u
I'm still not over the fact that my favorite character in Dracula survives the whole book, is the one to actually kill the vampire and proceeds to randomly die in the EPILOGUE haha
Never let the internet forget that Count Dracula was killed by an actual Texan Cowboy. And that scene is told by the perspective of a Woman With A Gun, who was protecting Van Helsing.
Quincy Morris, Mina Harker. I love y'all.
Perhaps one day you will have a decent adaptation into the silver screen.
I hate when I'm talking about female characters, specially in older novels, being well written and fully flashed out characters and people start getting extra political about modern day feminism. I'm just trying to comment on the quality of the writing.
If you have a supposedly important character, like a love interest for example, and throughout the story they do not accomplish anything on their own, are not shown to have personality and essentially do not contribute to the plot (being another character's motivation or object of desire does not count) that. is. bad. writing. Regardless of gender.
You're telling me that in the 1831 version, my sweet, sweet boy Henry Clerval, writer of fairytales, linguistic nerd, the humanities major to Victor's S.T.E.M., was turned into a straight up colonizer?
Mary, dear, why.
Also, Elizabeth no longer has, you know, a personality?
Hello! I wanted to query you about the new Elizabeth design (which is stunning btw) and what thought process led to her becoming a brunette. Not complaining obv, just a different take, because she's described as blonde in the book (iirc)
