Thinking about a sick character digging their car out of the snow while they’re actively coming down with something.
They already feel run down and they’re sniffling but they’ve got to clear six inches of snow off their car if they even want to think about driving themselves to the doctor’s office.
Maybe they didn’t even bundle up properly because that would have taken too much energy, and yet they’re burning more than they had to spare with each chunk of ice they chip off their car. They can’t not do it, the character has somewhere to be so the vehicle needs to be unburied one way or another.
By the time they finish their nose is running like a tap and their gloves are damp from the snow and from wiping their nose. Surely spending all this energy in the snow won’t worsen their condition, right?
