In the beauty box sphere, companies seem to come and go. For the last year, I have been subscribed to a beauty box called So Choix, a box which prepared small samples for you that you get to try out. I loved my subscription at first. It was a great way to try out new foundations and test colors before springing for the full-size version. However, I have some sad news. As of May 11th, the company…
If you guys don't know, So Choix packages up sample sizes of products you'd like to try and for $5 a piece they send them to you! There is also a subscription option where you get 5 samples for 15/month. It comes with just enough for you to test it out and decide if you want the full product or not. (And each $5 sample turns into $5 towards the full product). The greatest thing about it is that one, it's hygienic unlike the sample products in the store, and two, some of these samples can last you a good amount of time 😉. Here's a quick review of some of the products I got and hopefully you can try out some on your own using the service!
So, here are the products I ordered:
These are products that I thought would be fun to try out and here came the opportunity.
My box also came with a handy little brush for the eyeliner (I ended up not using it though, not a fan of short brushes in general) and a little wand for the mascara.
Benefit ‘They’re Real’ Mascara

I’m really impressed with this mascara! I have quite a few already but I’ve heard good things about this stuff and it really lived up to its potential. I found that it didn’t get clumpy and it worked well on my bottom lashes also. My lashes were nicely separated and they looked a lot longer.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever

The greatest thing is that there wasn’t only makeup! So before investing in a bigger bottle I got the sample size! It smelled great really; I think I got a little hyper and sprayed on more than I need it. But I honestly recommend if you’re going for a scent that’s not too strong but you still want to smell really good. The smell also lasted which is also a plus; not through a whole day of school and public transportation but a good part of it. The little bottle it came in was also really cute!
Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer

I love moisturizing and I love soft skin, so of course I had to try this out. First of all, guys - this thing smells good. Not to mention that I’ve been using it for about a week now and I still have some left over. It really does leave a nice glow and I find it works best when I use it under my makeup (it really adds something) but on it’s own its amazing too! This is something I’d definitely invest in!
Giorgio Armani Eye and Brow Maestro

This thing is a 4 in 1 but I got it for eyeliner purposes and that’s what I used it for. With cheaper liners I find that they tend to wear off throughout the day because my eyelids get hella oily but man, this stayed on! I even got compliments which is always good. I still have a good amount left over because you really don’t need a lot, so I will try to use it on my eyebrows also. It claims it can be used as contour but maybe not this color.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

Everyone is always talking about this so of course, I picked it up. I also made sure that when I used it, I used it alone (no BB Cream, foundation, etc). My only complaint was that the tube was a bit tricky to figure out and it only lasted me one use! It blended so nicely though and it matched my skin tone well (I am in the color Amande NARS).

I’m very happy with So Choix and I think it’s a great and unique box service! The products were amazing and I am definitely going to invest in the full size products. Thank you for reading this review and have a beautiful, blessed day!
Note: I was sent these products for review by So Choix. However, all opinions are always 100% my own.
