Okay I absolutely love the Vader - Leia dynamic, the memes and heartrenching fics both. But I also adore the Breha Organa and Leia dynamic. Muther flippin Queen of Alderaan did not raise our favorite icon for 19 years just to be ignored as that woman that was in 3 whole seconds of the movies. Breha and her husband, Bail freakin Organa, we’re actively against the empire and part of the resistance. They took ANAKIN FREAKING SKYWALKER’S daughter and hid her from the empire and raised her as their own. So tell me again where Leia gets all her badassery? Breha raised this woman to be a goddess and fight for what she believed in. So next time you try and give Padme all the credit, just remember Breha Organa, who’s planet was literally turned to dust and that we didn’t get more than a couple minutes of Leia mourning in the movies. Breha and Bail deserved better and you bet you ass that Leia mourned her parents and thought of them every day. Because they are the ones who taught her to fight for what is right.
