Non-Stop just hits me right in the feels every single time.
Though I’m not a parent, I have been babysitting for quite some time now. So many years…… And on top of that, I’m an aunt to three messy nephews (they’re older now, thank God). And in that time, I have learned of some of the great joys and wonders of parenting, as well as some of the great terrors that make movies like The Shining seem like some crappy Barbie movie about learning that throwing a tantrum is just plain stupid and you should just stop before you chop down a door yelling, “Here’s Johnny!” (That was like a massive run-on sentence of ranting) I recently discovered this book, called I Heart My Little A-Holes. I cannot even begin to describe how accurate this book is and how funny it was. It is very rare that I laugh while reading, but I was dying while reading this. I have a friend who is expecting her first, and I was not sure what to get her. I know that she’ll get like four million onesies and pacifiers, but I need to get her something special and sarcastic like she is. I have found it. The Holy Grail of baby shower gifts and parenting books. So shove it up yours, What to Expect. You didn’t teach me shit.
