Do you ever cry because of how Pure Steris and Wax’s relationship is?? Bc I do.
So there's a lot of "If my child was gay" things going around
When I have children, and they're gay, they wouldn't have the need to announce it, just like heterosexual children don't announce their straightness to THEIR parents. It would just be openly accepted. Same rules, same acceptance, for any sexuality and for those who identifies themselves as a different gender. You'd be my kid.
And that's that.
And then Will looks over.
Will: If your kid hated Batman, wouldn't you want to know? Bloomy: Of course. Will: Then wouldn't you want to know what your child's sexuality is? Bloomy: I feel that it would be obvious and they wouldn't have to announce it. Will: What if it isn't obvious? You can be gay and not fit into any stereotype. Bloomy: Still, nobody needs to announce it. Would you want your child to announce being straight? Will: Yes. I would like to know, so I can appropriately bond, and not say "hey isn't that chick hot" if he was gay. I'd want to point out guys and see what they thought. Bloomy: It's a sexuality, and I stand by how I feel. I don't think it has to be announced, it shouldn't be a conversation. There shouldn't be any discrimination. If you're straight, you're straight, if you're gay, you're gay. That should be that. Will: I would like to know. I would want to prepare myself for who they bring home. Bloomy: Why would you need to prepare yourself? What would it matter? Will: It would matter to me. I'd need to prepare how to act. Whether they bring home a boyfriend or a girlfriend, it's all the same. I just want to know before. And then I can set rules accordingly. If you're gay, no sleepover with boys, if you're straight, no sleepover with girls.
So Will and I are at a disagreement. I can see his point, I just feel as though the conversation has no reason to be had.
