I don’t think I’ve ever been so not excited for an MCU movie as I am for Captain Marvel.....

Like I seriously don’t care for her, she rubs me wrong, it’s like Steve’s holier than thou x10000. It’s the my way is always the right way.

I’ve read some of her comics, didn’t like her, super don’t like her in the cartoon, can’t see me liking her in the movie.

I am stunned that the fandom is walking way from this thinking Jasper looked better and Lapis looked worse. As someone who has seen too many abusive relationships with my friends and family, Jasper could not have more scarily represented how abusers act when the abused is no longer under their control. They insult, they apologize, they bargain and promise. They blame the former partner's friends for "taking" that partner. I was shocked at how accurate they were portraying Jasper that way.

Yup! The framing and the story they are trying to tell is crystal clear.
