SO and my approach to problems, an emblematic example

We both had unresolved "nasty ex" situation when we started dating.

His ex wanted to talk to him after having dumped him and when he refused called his mother to make her tell him to talk to her out of pity.

Mine was never a SO, but we fooled around, and at the time we didn't see each other for months but the situation was not "closed" with words.

I reacted by wanting to know her and be her friends so I could not be jealous.

SO reacted first by making me tell him I was taken (that, duh) and then -when he was the only friend I had in a foreign city and a LDR- making me burn the bridges with him because "you have to choose, me or him", so he could not be jealous.
