omg???! my animal cognition prof just caught me after the final class and asked me, specifically, if I want to do a project with the birds in her lab this summer??? I told her that because of my volunteer commitment to my other lab I could only do it if it paid about $10/hr and she said she’d look into getting me funding and see what she could do!

I'm mildly tickled. We ran out of propane and so my mom has to drive up to the cabin to take a shower. I mean, I have to live in filth until tomorrow, but I'm a big girl with backpacking/camping upbringing, so I can deal. I'm just tickled. Just plain tickled. Country living is the worst.
