Would you ever write fanfic for the murderbot series?

I used to think I would, because I kind of have weird complex shippy feelings re: Murderbot/ART and also like... I want to do more hurt/comfort with like Murderbot and Gurathin, and Bharadwaj, and Ratthi, but like...

I found my (limited) experience of the fandom very cliquey and just kind of enjoyed my own little headcanon stories on my own, so I don't know if I will? Because I'm also not as obsessed with it as I was about 2 years ago.

But if/when I reread the series I know I'll want to all over again, I might end up just writing some stories for myself, since I only want to write little moments, and nothing really long and complex

me, realizing that the progression of junko's clothes in ttlt grow steadily more masculine.

in oaei, she's still in fashionista mode. even dressed down, she's a model, she's high femme.

in oafc, ryoko is in a literal suit. it's tailored to her, so it still has feminine aspects to it, but it's intentionally blurring the lines. (the text goes so far as to imply that ryoko would prefer something more masculine than junko did, among other things.)

in oalh, she is literally in a specifically male kimono. (only. minus the part that would be called a kimono.) she's wearing hakama and a haori. the hakama - the specifically pants not skirt hakama - is, as far as i know, specific to the male version.

junko out here intentionally blurring gender lines the more fully herself she is.

i’m going to a furry convention in august and i am straight up really excited

#no i am not a furry #but i heard they're mostly very nice and kind #and i dno't think i've ever heard of a horror story from an artist who opens their commissions to furry art #like they pay well they're not mean and they give you a shit ton of references and they're just really good at that #so yeah like #after last weekend i promised i wouldn't go to a random convention just to go #i decided i do need emotional investment in whatever con i'm going to #but honestly i've always wanted to go to a furry con #and especially to talk to artists in the art hall and shit #take in the vibe #yeah so i'm really excited no trace of irony or sarcasm i'm like #WOO!

People really out here complaining about the prices of soft mount ranched foxes like the pelts themselves don't start at $200+ raw.

#a. finding a decent small scale farm with good animal welfare practices #b. reds alone start at $200 at most of these places for the raw pelt #that still needs to be tanned which is like $100 give or take depending if you take it to a commercial tannery or home tanner #c. only a few people in the community can actually properly tan ranched foxes for soft mounts #d. the actual cost of mounting which is usually like $200-$400 depending on the animal #for supplies and labor #so yeah like #$500 MINIMUM for something good quality #and more if the artist has more experience #and a lot more if you want an uncommon color
