while getting brainwashed, was Bell aware of it happening? was there a couple days, maybe hours while he knew exactly what was happening, while the memories coexisted in his brain and he knew what was being done to him and that he couldn't stop it? did he beg Adler to let him keep his name, the memories of his mother and childhood and maybe meeting Perseus for his time, his comrades, his brothers in arms from the organization? or did he just shut down? did he try to fight the brainwashing? was there a moment where he was acutely aware that all of this was a lie and yet he still couldn't see anything but a trusted mentor when he looked at Adler? nothing but a good man that just wanted to help him?
