i'll just say one more thing.

i definitely am not happy with lindsay ellis' mental health falling apart. at least i'm not. i heard she opened up about very personal things, and on that regard at least i would not celebrate it

the two things i've seen people talk about (though there are some more poc have pointed out), i can see the intention behind her tweets, but i still agree she should've been more mindful with what she wrote (about raya and the last dragon, and "twink" harriet's slave owner). i can perfectly see why poc are angry, i am not going to erase the harm white content creators cause and still get away scot free.

like she could've just written a simple tweet/response "hey maybe the wording i used was shitty, sorry" and move on?? that's it? ppl rlly need to own up responsibility for what they post. not that i agree with harassment but she's a grown adult woman, an important content creator, she needs to realize she gets to admit her mistakes and final.

i still do find lindsay leaving youtube a little extreme, and i stand in solidarity with her poor mental health, but i'm also tired of everyone blaming "cancel culture". i disagree with the actual harassment towards her but most ppl who called her out are poc themselves, listen to poc. i doubt they're the ones behind the harassment tbh. at least from experience the ppl who harass her aren't actually affected, unfortunately they just want "reasons" to justify their beef with her. that's what i think though.

So I start back to college in about a week and a half taking on a mostly full class load for the first time in ages during the year of our lord coronavirus which is absolutely terrifying - but I have like 2 years worth of material in my reblog blog’s queue so that’s something
