Jade was so excited! She was going to get to spend some quality time with Jake without having to listen to Eridan blabbering on and on in the background or making them run laps. Well...ok they might end up running laps anyway but it would be different. They would be running laps and working out on their own time because they wanted to. Not because they had to as a form of punishment. So it was totally different.
Jade perked up as she heard a knock at the door. Hurriedly she finished pulling on her spandex shorts as she went to answer the door with a wide grin, not at all surprised to see that it was Jake "Hey Jake! You ready to go to the g-" Her sentence was cut short as she was suddenly pounced on and pushed forward. She ended up tackling Jake to the floor on her way down and realized all too late what had happened.
Eyes wide with fear she quickly got back to her feet, ushering the dog inside who had knocked her over and tugging Jake along inside behind her "Bec! Bad boy! you know better than to jump on people! What's gotten into you?! You are usually so much better behaved than this!" She turned to Jake as if just remembering there was another person in the room "Jake! Please, you can't tell anyone ok? I can't stand the thought of Bec going home alone without me! Grandpa is hardly ever there and he would get so lonely" She explained, nearly on the verge of tears as she realized her dog could very well get taken away and she could end up punished for sneaking him in in the first place. It would all depend on Jake.
