s a b é joined the House of Organa, employed as an envoy to establish resistance cells across the galaxy, gather and spread information, and handle the distribution of matériel to said rebel groups. She also tutored the young Princess Leia Organa, in matters of court etiquette, security and diplomacy.
I'm on a fic search because I'm afraid this fic series was lost to time and I need it to not be. So I'm hoping it's preserved somewhere (lets hope these tumblrs I tag are still active)
Summary: Four part Sabe/Obi Wan series, AU (so Padme is Queen through the Prequel Trilogy). I believe in part two, Sabe was engaged to another guy and there was the storming of a clone factory and Sabe had a clone. In part three, Padme died with the rebels storming Vader's ship, and in part four, Vader had saved her, and Padme pulled anakin from the dark side and they went and found sabe and obi wan and got the kids back
This is from like... 20 years ago. It was linked through the old Sabe/Obi Wan website archive that I cannot find and it's not coming up. I used to have it bookmarked but of course, I've lost bookmarks over the years. I don't think it ever made it to AO3.

I wish! I have a WIP called Far From the Bright Centre, about Sabé’s first visit to Tatooine, that I’ve been picking at on and off for ages. But I’ve kind of lost my writing mojo recently (or not so recently) so it’s lain dormant for a while.
I’ve worked on it a bit in recent weeks, but I’ve paused it to see what the series brings - it’s at a point where I can probably adapt it to whatever canon ends up being. But it’s a nice feeling to be writing again, even if it’s just microfics, so we’ll see where that leads.
But since you ask, here’s a little snippet as a taster :)

The sky had started to darken, and Sabé could feel fear creeping over her. Night fell quickly in the desert, and she couldn’t be caught out in the freezing hills overnight. She redoubled her efforts, and gradually started to gain on him again.
He was perhaps twenty or thirty paces ahead of her when he stopped without warning, and she stopped as suddenly as if she had been right behind him. He turned and looked back down the track towards her, his face hidden in the shadow of his hood.
“All right,” he said. “There’s no one else around now, and no-one’s in earshot. I think you’d better show yourself, and tell me what you’re doing following me.” The thrill was almost painful. His voice was slower and a little rougher, but was the same beloved voice that she hadn’t heard for over three years.
Slowly, she reached up her hands and took down her hood.
He stumbled backward and almost fell, catching himself on the eopie’s leathery side. The animal barely flinched, but slowly turned his narrow head to look back at him.
“Am I dreaming again?” he whispered. Somehow Sabé heard it as clearly as if she had been a foot away from him.
He lifted a shaking hand and she thought he was going to pull back his hood, but he just rubbed his eyes. She wanted to run to him, but she stood rooted in place.
“You’re not dreaming. I’m here, Obi-Wan.”
The use of his name seemed to bring him back to himself. “We can’t talk here. Come with me.” Turning, he prodded the eopie into movement, and set off again without waiting for her.
Most of my Star Wars prequel era (Obidala and Sobi fanfics) are now posted on my ao3.org account. These fanfics are more than 20 years old now, and I got a lovely review on one of them recently, and it's just nice to know that some of them (probably not all) still hold up, even though my writing style has matured a LOT since the early 2000s.
