'Not even torture could be able to shake his faith in the existence of life after death'
It is known that the tomb of Bishop Seraphim is visited especially by pupils and students. They pray for success in exams and receive miraculous help, which not only manifests during the exams but is also reflected pleasingly in their souls.
A second-year medical student often visited the crypt of Bishop Seraphim and prayed to him for success in his exams. He came from an atheist family and was not even baptized. Once, he was praying there as usual. When he finished his prayer on his knees, he kissed the marble tomb and stood up. Suddenly, he saw Archbishop Seraphim in front of him, as if alive. The Bishop blessed him and said: "Get baptized and fast!". After that, he vanished. The student was shaken to the depths of his soul by what had happened. He called his aunt from the province, who was very devout, and asked her to be his godmother. He was baptized in the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Panteleimon, at the nursing home in the Kneajevo district.
After this miraculous event, the student told everyone that even if he were subjected to torture until death, they would not be able to shake his faith in the existence of life after death.
