There is an article on Yahoo entitled "Dying Man Gets to Say Goodbye to His Dog." I am not clicking on it.

Packing was something Mallory always hated to do. It always took so long and frankly whenever she got to where she was going, the clothes would explode from the bag anyways and all that time would have been for wasted. So usually, this process would take her the longest out of everything. That's why she wasn't surprised when she heard the Bennett's front door open and her boyfriend's footsteps ascending up the steps. She had the door shut and music playing inside of it. The last thing she wanted to do right now was talk to Reese. Grabbing another one of her bags, she headed out of the room, towards the stairs to go downstairs. Nearly running into a wall, she turned quickly and slid down the stairs and out the front door. She knew he probably guessed what was going on based on her trunk being open and the bags being put into it, but she didn't figure he'd say anything to her about it. He had wanted her to go home, after all, so she was just doing what he had asked of her.
Entering the house once more, she headed upstairs to the guest bedroom to finish her packing. She had been in the room a few seconds before she heard a soft knock and the door open. Usually, that would make her smile and jump into the offender's arms, but today it just made her almost flinch and avoid looking up. She continued packing her things, waiting for him to say something. “How was football practice?” Mal could hear her voice being almost mono-toned, trying to keep herself from caring that everything around her was crumpling once more.
She knew that they were going to break up, it was in the back of her mind since she got off the computer the previous night and Reese hadn't replied to what she said privately. The one thing she swore she'd never to with Reese was lie to him and she wasn't trying to. She didn't want their relationship to be like that, but in the end that was what ended their relationship, wasn't it. “You don't have to say anything, Reese,” Her voice was shaky, the tears that were brimming in her eyes were threatening to pour over. Looking up for the first time since she assumed he entered the room, she stared in his eyes and bit her lip for a moment. “Can I ask you something?” She didn't wait for him to answer her as she continued on with what she was saying. He would have said yes anyways. “How committed are you to me?” If he wasn't committed to her the way she was to him, then it would be pointless to continue the relationship anyways. They'd both end up heartbroken in the end anyways.
