Stunt Rock will be released on Blu-ray on June 7 via Kino Lorber. The 1978 Australian musical action mockumentary includes a slipcover with alternate artwork.

Brian Trenchard-Smith (Leprechaun 3-4, BMX Bandits) directs from a script he co-wrote with Paul-Michel Mielche Jr. Grant Page, Monique van de Ven, and Margaret Trenchard-Smith star alongside the hard rock band Sorcery.

Imagine you are skilled at sorcery and have a serious crush on Prince Thor.  Because he never seems to notice you or return your feelings, you decide to ‘help nature’ and slip him a love potion.  It’s one you’ve developed yourself and is very powerful.  You haven’t developed an antidote yet, but expect the effects to wear off in a couple of weeks by which time you expect that Thor will have discovered for real that you are his one true love.

However, the plan goes horribly wrong when Loki accidentally consumes the potion instead. This is the worst-case scenario because Loki, who you have always regarded as a rival and certainly never as a potential lover, is now paying you constant attention.  Not only is Thor still ignoring you, but Loki is now showering you with gifts, date invitations, poetry… His constant visits are driving you mad so you tell him the truth - that it’s Thor you want, not him, and that he only feels as he does because of a potion you tried to drug his brother with.  Your plan sounds evil to your own ears as you tell it. But Loki doesn’t care if you did wrong. He hardens his resolve: he will prove that he is more worthy of your love than Thor is. You start desperately to work on an antidote, as he looks on adoringly.

Meanwhile, the Odinson family are overjoyed that finally Loki has ‘found someone’. Everyone is happy with the change for the good in Loki and congratulate you both. Thor is particularly jubilatory and unhelpful, and you start to find him positively irritating, worse perhaps than Loki. You want to ask Frigga for help with the antidote, but that would involve confessing about the potion, not to mention dashing her hopes, and you just can’t do it. You struggle to undo the magic yourself, and Loki, because he’s in love with you, starts to help, convinced nothing will change the way he feels.

You work together and grow closer. Despite yourself, you start to be sorely tempted to take advantage of the situation and kiss him, or more, but manage to hold out. By the time you have the antidote, you are actually afraid to lose him, but understand that it would be wrong to keep someone bound in this way.

After Loki takes the antidote, he looks back at his actions and is appalled and embarrassed. You decide that you probably deserved it for the unfairness of your plan.  It’s then at Loki tells you that despite everything he’s impressed by the sheer power of your magic, which he’s experienced at first hand, and asks if he can continue to see you.

TLDR: Someone pulls a Romilda Vane on Loki and deeply regrets it until they also start falling in love.
