We have a substitute in the ONE CLASS I look forward to each week. Our sub is SILENTLY GOING THROUGH THE SLIDES without any sort of comment and she's already proven that she knows NOTHING about gender issues when she tried to suggest/explain "Boys Don't Cry" to the class. I want to cry. This classroom is not a safe space right now.
Tonight in social problems class, one of my precious classmates told us about how if a little girl is wearing slutty clothes and is molested/raped, the parents are to blame for dressing their child that way. I literally cannot with these people.
Watching a video about Vancouver's Skid Row.
This is unbelievably depressing and distrubing.
I've almost left about three times now.
