Collection 2

For my second collection, I was inspired by one of my days when I talked about my social media consumption. I collected my screen time for the week. It was nice since my phone has many stats regarding screen time over the last 7 days.

I am not surprised that my average screen time averaged to almost 6 hours a day, which is sad. Im aware of this habit of mine. I often check and try to limit myself since this new update has offered these stats. I’ve become more aware of myself and my usage. I have a set amount of time my phone allows me and for apps, but I often tend to ignore it when it pops up and keep hitting “remind me in 15 minutes”. 

The worst part about it all it that at least 22 of the total 40 hours was using social media. That is crazy and also sad. I’m almost embarrassed. However, I don’t feel completely alone. I know many people that share similar habits. What does this mean for our society? Is there any correlation with our lifestyles and what we consume to our social media usage?
