Woke up wondering where this guy was, so I went outside to call him and he came running with a squealing baby bunny in his mouth.😢 I thought we taught him better than that! Bunny has been checked out and released. The kids tried hard to convince me to keep it! We made our way over to the Independence Day celebration in our small town. We got here early so we had first dibs on a space under this big tree. I drove over mountains (and through them), past miles and miles and miles of corn (sweet baby Jesus, all that corn), paid 3 tolls, drove through way too much construction, past giant wind turbines, and over thousands of potholes to see my amazing daughter for her 21st birthday. For the first time in my life, I drove outside of the state of NC all by myself. Of course, I’ve driven to Michigan (and other places) before, following Jason, but this time I was on my own, not riding with anyone or following anyone and counting on no one else (except Google maps) to get me and my girls there. 13ish hours up and another 13ish hours back.
