Something I feel is important to say.

If science fiction teaches us anything, is that problems dont just go away.

Racism, sexism, transphobia,homophobia, war, poverty and so on are issues that dont just vanish once a law gets signed and one, two or three breakthroughs are made in terms of improving societal awareness and acceptance.

The fight for equality, justice, peace, truth and progress is a never ending one which will continue long after you and I all die.

Keep fighting for a better tomorrow, keep fighting for your fellow man, keep fighting to secure the future for generations to follow. For if we want humanity to survive and prevail we all must never tire to strive to see that it does so. In whatever way we can be that through political action, direct action, art, books, music, demonstration you name it.

There is no such thing as a perfect time in history.

Nuclear weapons still pose a danger to us all.

Climate change is becoming more and more prevalent an issue for us and this planet we all rely on.

Minorities being accepted in society and freed from slavery, still has not given them all the rights and privileges in society they still desperately deserve. Systemic police brutality, false imprisonment, racial profiling and human rights violations still persist, increasing in complexity.

We all have our work cut out for us.

So, there was an LGBT pride parade near where I lived. I didn't get to picture a lot because I was in a moving vehicle but there was a lot of trans-flags and that's important because people are really transphobic where I live. So, yeah. There's that.

I was just reading random shit online to help calm down and a fucking Seventeen magazine article aimed at girls mentioned "awkwardly running into your friend's cute older sibling" and. Older sibling?? Oh my god??? I'm so fuckin jealous of kids today dudes. I didn't even conceive this level of normalization of being a homo/non-het, and like, so soon. Like, can you imagine growing up with that? Feels like I'm living in a daydream. Also feel like crying again so I'm not sure this really helped but.. at least it's a good cry I guess
