Jonathan has gotten very used to Sock being around that he's just that aware of the way Sock moves even when he doesn't have Sock right in front of him, which is similar to how you can recognize a person by the sound of their footsteps

Sock self harms not for any normal mental health related reason, but because he just likes blood no matter where it comes from, and it satiates his bloodlust slightly so he doesn't have the urge to kill things so much.

sock and jojo grew up in a very Christian texas town. not major conservative like "IM GONNA CUT YOUR LEGS OFF IF YOU WEAR A SKIRT" but an "ill pray for you" (doesn't know what religion they believe in) christian town. sock kind of knew he was gonna go to hell. he just didn't expect it to be the way it was, evident by the "where's the brimstone and fire". pretty much everyone else in his town knew he would too. curiously, they also thought jojo would go to hell.

the parts sock likes about killing is the blood part and the 'watching the life leave their eyes' part, not the 'causing things pain' part. for this reason, he tries to kill things quickly because he feels a little bad for them. (not SO BAD he wont kill them, of course, but bad enough to be somewhat merciful)

Right I have a few headcanons I would love for yall to add onto them

1.sock definitely stays over time just to watch Johnathan sleep or go about his evening

2.sock has stopped being able to get Johnathan to jump because he got so used to socks tricks

3. Adding on from the last hcs I saw posted when Johnathan punishes himself by not hanging out with his mom she also gets upset about this and is worried about Jonathan as he never seems to want to spend time with her

1. Mephi doesn't notice until he reviews Sock's time card and is like HOW MANY HOURS OF OVERTIME???

2. Jon's gotta keep up the disillusioned persona
