Kanade has nosocomephobia (fear of hospitals) that stems from all their childhood experiences in hospitals (kanamom getting sick and dying in front of Kanade and Kanadad getting sick). This makes visiting their dad tricky sometimes, as he is in a ward in a higher level of the hospital and sometimes the lifts dont work. They often feel faint and nauseous if they stay in a hospital for too long.
No one actually knew Kanade had this fear until Mafuyu went with them to visit Kanadad one time, and noticed Kanade was panicking and fidgeting the whole way there, making excuses to stop or pause every few minutes. When they got to the hospital, Kanade threw up on the stairs and thats when Mafuyu started to connect things
