You picked Danielle up at her house for the music fest.
"Dani come in!" you say to Danielle, standing in front of her porch. She gets in your car and starts blasting music (i hc danielle would be a swiftie idk)
"Oh yeah! that's my jam, dani!" you squeal as Danielle played 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' by Cyndi Lauper on your phone. "You look great!" Danielle said as she looks at your outfit. Wearing a white sun dress with ribbons as straps, along with bows on your half pigtails. You did feel pretty. "Says you!" you said back to Danielle.
"Some boys take a beautiful girl and hides her away from the rest of the world, I wanna be the ine to walk in the sun! Oh girls just wanna have fuuuuuunnn" you and Danielle sang as you drive your car on the highway. "This is so fun!" you laughed. "I know!" Danielle said back, teeth showing as she smiled. "So..." she trails off; "So...?" you ask back. "How are you guys?" Danielle asks with a smirk. "Who..?" you knew who she was talking about, of couse; Jake. Who else could it be? "Jake?? You guys talk alot, no?" She asks. "Mmm yea but i think he thinks I'm weird." you said back.
"What? What do you mean? You always post screenshots on your twitter, you also sent them to us. I'm actually getting sick of it." She laughs. "Well yea, but.. argh I don't know." You responded.
You focused on the road, having Danielle help you to read the gps. Both of you were singing and jamming along to your playlist. You felt adrenaline build up inside of you, excited to see the fest, and Jake of course.
"Aaaaand we're here!" you said while parking your car. You and Danielle walked hand in hand to the front row. "Thank God we're early" Danielle said. "Yea, otherwise we can't get the very front" you laughed. "Oh be so for real. We all know who you're planning to see this close up." She nudges you playfully. "Oh shut up." you nudge her back.
A few minutes passed, the previous empty pit is now full with people. Laughs and cheers fill the surrounding, crowding the area. 2 people walk on stage who appear to be the MC's. "Hello everyone! my name is Wonyoung!" the tall girl said. "And I'm Jungwon!" the other boy said. "And we are your MC's for today! Welcome to Wonderfest!" they exclaimed. The crowd starts to cheer, excited for the fest to begin. After the Wonyoung and Jungwon did their whole MC thing, they exited the stage. The lights began to dim; The jumbotron showed numbers, counting down for the fest to start.

The crowd goes wild as 5 boys walk out to the stage. You could feel your heart racing, seeing the boy you're head over heels on. His hair is shining, reflecting the sun; His skin, glowing and a bit tan; His face looks ecstatic as he picks up his electric guitar. His eyes wandered through the crowd as if he's looking for someone; Then, his angel eyes met yours. You could swear everything around was in slo-mo when he smiled at you.
Jake strums a chord on his guitar, checking if it sounds right. To you, anything sounds good if it's from him. Jake then starts playing a song, one of your favourite songs.
Kiss Me by Sixpence none the richer. You would do that– you would kiss him right now. Heeseung hits the hi-hat and bass drum to the rhythm, Sunghoon following along with the bass. Your eyes were basically heart shaped with the way you look at them, especially Jake. He strums his guitar, then looks at you while singing the first verse of the song; "Kiss me out of the bearded barley, nightly beside the green green grass" he sings— And you wanted to do just that. You wanted to kiss him, right there and now. The way his voice whispers heaven in your ear sounds angelic. His lips worded each lyric just right. His little Australian accent peeked through some words, you thought it was cute. His head nods to the beat Heeseung was drumming; Jay was also playing the guitar, Sunghoon was on the bass; Riki was playing notes on the keyboard; Their whole band played nothing but harmony.
The way Jake dances and taps his feet on the stage to the rhythm made your eyes go star struck. The crowd were singing along with them too. "I bet he chose this song just for you" Danielle looks at you with a grin. "I wish" you look back at her laughing. "No seriously, with the way things have been acting? He's making it go so fast, he's basically confessing to you with this song right now." Danielle adds. "Dani stop making theories" you roll your eyes playfully at her.
"Kiss me beneath the milky twilight, lead me out on the moonlit floor" Jake sings. "Lift your open hands, strike up the band and make the fireflies dance, silver moon's sparkling..." He sang out.
"So kiss me" you sang out the words, looking at him as he does the same. He looks at you while smiling, even waving a hand at you. You wave back of course; You didn't even notice Danielle was recording you. You watch as Jay starts doing his guitar solo at the bridge, Jake then runs across the stage to hype up the crowd while singing. It was wild. You screamed loud just like how the rest of the audience did; This moment felt unreal— you thought to yourself.
Just then, after they finished performing the song, Jake reaches in his pocket to take something out. He jumped down the stage and reached his hands over the railing that seperated the crowd and handed you a paper ring. It had a red heart on it. Jake gave you a paper ring. "Sorry, it's just a small gift I made for you- I know it's not a lot-"
"I love it." you cut him off. He smiled at you and hopped back on the stage to continue performing more songs. The crowd went wild seeing what just happened. They started cheering for you and Jake.
The night was young, but the fest had ended already. The sky was going dark, so you and Danielle decided to go home– after eating some cheesy corn dogs.
"I had a great time, thanks for having me go to the fest with you." Danielle said to you before heading back in her house. "You're welcome babes" you blow a kiss to her. "See you soon! I hope the others can make time to hang out, I miss doing that with you guys" you pouted. "Me too, okay bye!" Danielle waved, opening the door and headed inside her house.
