Redesign for Marc, the Old Man Monk! He’s now an east merian Mountain Dwarf, which is Scottish inspired! I guess you could tell from the literal everything in it. lol. References are under the cut:
Did another sketch of the woman from Soda Wizard 4.
My current idea is that she’s a barbarian that carries a lot of daggers in the bag she wears in the previous work. she loses them a lot from either throwing them or breaking them from too much force, so often times she’s just. Picking up daggers, owned or not, putting them in the bag.
I also gave her these real cool looking high quality athletic shoes, cause I figure those would be useful for adventuring, right? I think the ones I grabbed tho aren’t made for off-road, so that’s that I guess.

I think this guy is a bit old fashioned. Given the modern clothes I’ve given SW and Knife Lady, I guess this takes place in a semi modern era? It would be funny if I said the early 2000s. Either way, this guy dresses with can’t medieval vests, a half cloak for edginess, but wears cargo pants for the pockets. He uses a modern bow as well because I think it’ll look cool.
All that’s left is the old man monk, and then I’ll return to the non-regularly scheduled Soda Wizard content

Geologic time
1: birth of the reality, the Big Bang. Godless, but magic does exist and the big bang brings agitation he creation of some intergalactic gods
2: trillions of years of the elements being created is sped up a bit to just millions of years. And a whole,e lot more elements than irl.
3: the formation of Yakni’s Sun
4: the creation of Yakni and its 2 moons
5: intergalactic gods meddle, leave the stepping stones of evolution on Yakni and various other planets through the universe
6: life begins, Yakni sees her first inhabitants.
7: 1 or 2 natural extinction events, to be expected
Prehistoric era
8: first societies of Yakni begin
9: invasive gods arrive(first extinction event)
10: invasive gods influx the magic, evolving and manipulating/mangling the species/societies that survived
11: time and effort is spent by the gods heavily manipulating the surviving species
12: societies are created by species evolved by the Invasive gods
13: some natural gods come into existence from these societies, very weak at this stage so pushed around/ignored by the invasive gods.
14: war with the alien invaders from other planets. The invasive gods and their faithful win, the invaders leave some races before abandoning Yakni
15: a few thousand years of warfare and politics, heavy handed by the gods. The intelligent societies advance, their faith keeps but it starts to crack near the end.
16: planned extinction event due to gods boredom and fear of losing control.
17: new species evolve from what’s left
Post-Classical History
18: new societies are born, some by the invasive gods and others by Yakni’s natural gods. Some invasive gods leave entirely, there is a new balance
19: thousands of years of history that looks very much like classic DnD. Mortal advancement is purposefully held back by the invasive gods in an effort to keep this era and their dominance lasting as long as possible. The natural gods push as much as they can, and little by little the intelligence of the world advances.
20: Formation of Leóhtbold.
21: The formation of the Ramleazim Empire.
22: the Gremidrengir explore the world, form colonies on a continent they call Ísland.
23: around the same time, the Barann do some conquering and exploring as well, colonize the orc inhabited lands of southern Meria.
24: Sometime in the early pre fall days but after most races have had centuries of existence, the Tower is created. A thousand years later, and the Incident Occurs.
25: The formation of the Frost Confederacy after centuries of war and trade between the many tribes. Done as a response to the increasing expansion of the Ramleazim Empire.
26: the Blind Year occurs. It’s a year where the sun is so bright, that it’s almost impossible to see in the surface, and even the Underdark is effected(in reality, the sun Yakni revolves around had finally run out of fuel as was about to become a Red Giant, and the immense brightness was a result of the gods interfering to make the sun essentially paused in time. The heat was also immensely increased, and scorched other planets in the solar system, but again the gods were able to keep most of the solar radiation off of Yakni). Thut is born.
27: reign of Thut, the man who would become the Forced God Mania. He conquers the lands excluding Ísland and the Frost Confederacy territory for 10 years before his death and ascendency. Afterwards, the Empire is slowly pushed back.
28: the Nation of Ísland is formed after its inhabitants successfully repel an attack from the Ramleazim Empire.
29: multiple annexation attempts of the Mokuauli Isles by the Ramleazim Empire are rebuffed by the native Sea Elves and Tieflings.
30: the Adventures of Branque Faeste, the Breakfast Sandwich Paladin and his merry crew of food related adventures including the felling of Thut and the sealing of Mania.
31: slow but eventual advancements of society time by time, gunpowder is invented, trains are built, the society worldwide is slowly exiting the medieval style phase.
32: the Fall begins, jumpstarts the first Industrial Revolution which begins in Ras. It ends before the first Industrial Revolution ends.
Modern History
33: the first Industrial Revolution begins, starts in the capital of Meria and they fail to isolate it from the world.
34: Hopeless future. Magic is everywhere, societies are more advanced than before, a lot of intelligent species once considered evil are now free of the gods meddling and interacting socially for the first time.
35: the Drow move up to the surface world, taking primary residence in the Southwest Elven kingdom.
36: the descendants of the Baraan colonies, the Orcs, the southern dwarves and Khaasta for, the Yosun Nomads, a nation strong enough to contend with the immediate enemy the Ramleazim Empire.
37: Takeover Event. The loss of the gods means there is an influx of magic that is not only no longer being refueled, but also no longer being properly contained. Within 2 centuries the nonsentient species become fiercer, more monstrous, more recklessly attacking others.
38: the second Industrial Revolution. Automatic operation reaches a new height, rudimentary mechanical computers and the means of production ceasing to belting solely to the rich and the government bring about more technology and opportunity for all.
39: the Great Perdition(unofficially called the First World War). A massive religious movement that consumed the human races and some intelligent races. The Ramleazim Emprie and the Frost confederacy each begin a crusade to kill all species that are considered “evil” including intelligent races that they didn’t agree with/looked like. The movement is disavowed by Leóhtbold, but not stopped until it begins to target races they have trade agreements with.
40: the Floating Islands are populated by Birdfolk escaping from the Great Perdition, leading to the formation of the Birdfolk Paradise.
41: the Burn. With the Takeover Event and the Great Perdition using up Magic, the world’s magical supply eventually reached equilibrium. Factory made tools and weapons no longer took any new magical capabilities, but anything made before the Burn still kept their abilities. This lead people to believe that magic has been “Burned” into certain aspects, like traditional crafting which allowed items to carry a low magical effect. Use of magic as a whole dramatically decreases, every path that uses it greatly weakened.
42: attempted founding of the UKS. Leóhtbold forcefully stops the Ramleazim Empire from completely killing races they have trade agreements with such as the Tabaxi, Lizard Folk, and the Yosun. They peacefully stop the Frost Confederacy as well with support from internal forces. They attempt to create a union between the three, and all parties agree initially. It falls through when the Ramleazim Empire refuses to agrees with the plan of melting down their greatest magical weaponry.
43: First World War. The Ramleazim Empire versus Leóhtbold and the Frost Confederacy. Yosun assists through trade agreements but doesn’t join the war. The nation of Ísland doesn’t join the war. Many lives are lost, but eventually the Emperor is killed, her daughter takes up negotiations for a ceasefire.
44: Marc is born.
45: the Eastern Elven Kingdom, Aupunikai, comes into existence by the insistence of Leóhtbold.
46: successful founding of the UKS. The ceasefire deal agrees to being a member kf the UKS, and the allowance of certain weapons to be kept and given to all members of the UKS. The Southwest Elven Kingdom also manages to successfully secure membership to the Eastern Elven kingdom in agreement of dealing with the Sahaugin.
47: the Highmount Dwarven Mining Co. is established.
48: Second World War. The UKS versus the Sahaugin Collective and the Underdark Alliance. The UkS attempts to forcefully establish territories in the Underdark for the rare resources within, but are repelled by an alliance made between the Chitine, Chuul, and the Kuo-toa. The war on both ends is a stalemate with Mutually Assured Destruction achieved by both sides having no small amount of MWMDs, and protests from the citizens of the members of the UKS. All members of the UKS eventually withdraw from the war.
49: Treaties between the UKS and opposing nations made. The UKS abandons the idea of annexing the Underdark, but refuses to acknowledge the kingdoms underneath. A trade deal is made with the Sahaugin Collective, and an understanding between them and the Eastern Elven Kingdom.
50: within the city of Próodos, the atom is successfully split. Nuclear energy is discovered.
51: Worldwide De-escalation Bill(melting of many things). All MWMDs made from before the Burn are officially dismantled and melted down, as well as some non-magical WMDs. The world is less dangerous, but still deadly. It is a modern era, of guns and staffs, tanks and dragons, conscripts and undead. Nuclear weapons do not yet exist, but are covered alignmwith other future WMDs by the bill.
52: founding of the republic of Mixed Sentients. The UKS creates its fifth member on Akato, a continent considered to be “untouched by society.” There they place the species that were attacked directly by the Great Perdition, and they founded their own government to give all humanoid species an equal voice. The various species that already lived on Akato are somewhat successfully integrated with the nation.
53: the Republic on the surface is meant to be a free place for all non humans and elves, but for the first decade or so it’s effectively treated by the other four nations as a colony. The majority of its inhabitants live as second or third class citizens, while humans and elves visit, treating the nation as an “Exotic Getaway.”
54: High tensions between the Ramleazim Empire and Leóhtbold lead to the start of the Cold War. Despite nuclear weapons not being legal, they make them anyways, each side trying to have more than the other.
55: the tensions between the two superpowers allow the Republic to elect some of its own citizens, and successfully better the living conditions and economic stability to the point that the Republic not only is able to put the boot to human and elf tourism, but can stand on its own as a true member of the UKS.
56: The dragonkin Firebelly leads the first formed Pirate Coalition in the liberation of the isles under control of the Frost Confederation and the Republic of Mixed Sentients with their unspoken support.
57: The first Frost-Fire War between the Pirates and the Confederacy. The Republic which has no naval fleet of its own doesn’t participate in the war, but assists the Coalition through implicit acts and bills. After three years of combat, the Confederacy wins. Firebelly is executed, and the Confederacy claims the archipelago.
58: The UKS pressures the Frost Confederacy to give up the islands that were taken from the Republic, but no action is taken. The Ramleazim Empire wants the confederacy to be weakened, while the Eastern Elven Kingdom wants their newly formed trade routes still the Gremidrengir unharmed.
59: the Floating city of Ir, Ramleazim’s Capital, rises for the first time.
60: The Second Frost-Fire War between the Pirate Coalition and the Frost Confederacy. The Frost Confederacy is aided by the Leóhtbold and Aupunikai, and the second Pirate Coalition is supported by under-the-table deals from the Republic and the Empire. A stalemate is reached before an eventual treaty is signed granting the Coalition sovereignty over the isles and recognition as a government in exchange for no attacks on their trade routes.
61: Deedee is born, and Flynn is born a year after. Kelsey is born a year after Flynn.
62: the Isles are renamed the Firebelly Archipelago in honor of the first Coalition’s leader.
63: the end of the Cold War between the Ramleazim Emoire and the Southwest Kingdom when the empire loses a lot of its power through internal conflict.
64: the floating City of Ir is locked down by its sister slum city Buɣim, due to the mass destruction causing within. The current Empress Pahena’s whereabouts are unknown and presumed dead.
65: the Highmount Dwarven Mining Co. successfully has control over the Highmount Range and the jungle below, becoming its own unofficial nation while technically being a a-rat of the Ramleazim Empire.
66: Toby the Verdan is sent back in time to stop the robot apocalypse. He arrives a few years before the Tower’s events.
67: Defeat of the Tower. Soda Wizard and his party manage to end the plot of the Wizard wearing a Red Cloak before he could teleport the world into the plane of dragons.
The future
67: Flynn’s body is officially announced dead
68: Deedee defeats the O’Sadeigh clan and gets a girlfriend/wife/dom baddie.
69: near-miss third extinction event via Chaos magic(stopped but the world is slightly changed)(connected to the Flynn DoorDash plot)(causes the creation of the Verdan and further mutations of the Kuo-toa and Owlin)
70: the dream gods attack and the Eternal Night(see Me and Your Mama for remembering vibes)(second campaign featuring the Soda Wizard Party)
71: the first Lphone is invented by Gill Bates.
72: future third extinction event via Glossum(inevitable)

74: the aliens come back but they’re chill
