Wahoo I’m finally done with my reference doodles for the gang, as well as a few headcanons for their ages and heights :3

I’ll add Darnold, Forzen and G-man later down the line too, but I really need to start on that Freelatta drawing I promised a few weeks ago…

Does anyone else think that the Benrey-Stain similarities are just a red herring, or do y’all think Stain is supposed to be some kind of opposite to Benrey in parallel to his role in HLVRAI. Maybe both.

They both share the same corpse/skeleton motifs, both are Barney models played by Scorpy, they’re kinda weird and fucked up in that way Scorpy plays his characters, and their body seems to morph in ways that seem eldritch and both use physical comedy… But aside from that, Stain is wayyy more sympathetic compared to Benrey who was the main antagonist to everything. Not to mention Gordon actually LIKES Stain.

I do think these similarities are intentional, but not in a way to actually connect the two in a “they’re the same person” kinda way, but instead of a “they’re similar but play different roles in the new team” kinda way.
