Imagine - how and why did Molayne pass down his captain title? Was it just the age thing, or something else perhaps?

Hi, anon! Many apologies for this taking so long, but this has been on my mind for days and I couldn’t decide on what to do with this. I’m not sure how to make this into an imagine, so I hope it’s okay if I just write it as headcanons..

-Molayne probably just reached the age where he could no longer be a trial captain.

-I don’t think he’d want to make someone else do it unless he had no choice, and he’d been preparing his cousin for this role for a while now, so when the time came, he gladly handed the position over.

-We’ve seen in the game that Molayne is very supportive of Soffy, and he thinks Soffy is doing a great job as captain. Molayne doesn’t regret choosing his cousin for this position, and thinks it’ll help Soffy grow as a person.

God, this is pretty bad. I’m very sorry, anon. You’ve waited a while and you didn’t even get what you wanted…but there really isn’t much to go on to do an imagine on this. I am curious though, what do you think happened?
