It pains me so much to work at a stained glass studio and not be allowed to pursue my own projects to explore and learn techniques. If I were allowed to, I’d probably never leave the studio lol

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it !
Academia is the WORST. THE ABSOLUTE WORST. And yet, I know I’m going to miss it, I already miss it. At least scholarly ways can be continued in the SCA, and I will continue.
Because learning is something that never ends and SHOULD never end.
My thesis paper is turned in and awaiting review. I won’t know for a little while, but it is safe to assume I am going to graduate in August. HUZZAH.
Will post link to paper as soon as it is released!
Apparently, my area has a really great Viking group as well as a really awesome SCA group. I KNEW I MOVED BACK TO MY HOMETOWN FOR A REASON. <3
I don't know if it is because I've got Tamora Pierce audiobooks on while I work on my thesis or what but dang do I want to take up heavy fighting.
I've been lifting weights at the gym, I know I can hold a shield. I've also been training to run a 5k so I will have the stamina. I think, after my thesis is complete, I'm going to have to seriously consider it.
My thesis defense will be in November. I am going to make period (-ish) food for serving since I am making CG renaissance dresses as part of my thesis. EXCITED.
Went to my first fighter practice in Bjornsborg (I do not fight but, social hour! Meeting people!) It was a lovely evening with a nice breeze, which is amazing this time of year in Ansteorra. Hope to be back more often, especially when my thesis is done.
