My flirting game is the WORST, but I can get away with asking ‘From where do you hail?” without sounding like a total dork at an SCA event. (I still can’t believe I said that. ugggggg how does anyone date anyone ever?)

Academia is the WORST. THE ABSOLUTE WORST. And yet, I know I’m going to miss it, I already miss it. At least scholarly ways can be continued in the SCA, and I will continue.
Because learning is something that never ends and SHOULD never end.
My thesis paper is turned in and awaiting review. I won’t know for a little while, but it is safe to assume I am going to graduate in August. HUZZAH.
Will post link to paper as soon as it is released!
I am looking to expand my library of SCA related books. Does anyone have recommendations?
So the stained glass job is official. It is a much larger studio than I worked with at my last stained glass job. I spent the last two days laying down linework on drapery for some figural windows. I didn't get to paint much at the other gig, so this is a dream. I hope in time I am trained to do shading and stains.
Feels great to be back in this art again. I feel in a way I'm inheriting a legacy that goes back to the middle ages. So in other words, this is the best job for a SCAdian.
It isn't OFFICIAL official yet, but I think I just scored a job at a local stained glass studio. This will be my second job at a stained glass studio, I can't wait!
Update from Sofi-Land
Turned in my paperwork to defend my thesis, if all goes as planned, March 6th is D-day. Then I can finish my paper and finally get on with my life, both my mundane life and my SCA life. I miss it so very much.
Wow, I've had this blog for a year today! Thanks everyone for following and reblogging and just taking part in this SCA craziness!
