Sofi’s BAM Recap

Camped next door to house Wolf Star.That was crazy fun times. They are fun people.

Built most of a combat crossbow on Friday in one of the A&S classes.

Pet lots of horses and dogs :D

Got to watch a fellow Bjornsborger be elevated to Master of Defense.

Might be bartering art for combat archery armor maybe.

Got to know my new SCA family a little more.

Tried Turkish coffee for the first time.

Had a drink with everclear in it for the first time

Felt like I finally was able to enjoy SCA without grad school looming over me. It was amazing!

My flirting game is the WORST, but I can get away with asking ‘From where do you hail?” without sounding like a total dork at an SCA event. (I still can’t believe I said that. ugggggg how does anyone date anyone ever?)

Life Update

In August, I finally received my Master of Science in Visualization degree. I am finally free of school and can get back to SCA things.

I plan to continue working for the stained glass studio. It’s a decent gig. I plan on freelancing on the side for design/CG stuff. Message me if you are interested in seeing my work.  

Planning on going to War of the Rams in November and Gulf Wars next year. GARB TIME. 

Working on fixing my treasure necklaces. There will be photos. 

Still going over stuff from when I went to Germany for reference photos of medieval art and architecture.
