BIOGRAPHY:
When Sofia was born, her parents were delighted. She was the little bundle of joy they had been waiting for. Though she wasn’t as quick at learning how to walk or crawl as her brother had been, her parents didn’t mind. Having grown up in the days of the Hippies, all that mattered to them was that she was healthy and happy. They were in no hurry to see her grow. Even though both her parents were medical professionals, she never felt any pressure to become a medical professional herself. Seeing her work hard at school and knowing she was developing into a well-rounded young woman made her parents immensely proud. It was a rather sheltered but happy childhood. They were by no means rich, but Sofia was never short on anything.
By the time that Sofia went to college, she began to see herself becoming a personal trainer. It combined her love of helping people and her love for being active. And it was during her time at college that her whole future suddenly became visible. Not only had she found her career, but she had found her family. She met Joaquin. The love of her life and best friend. Her family seemed to love him, too. Even the more conservative Indian side of her family.
They got engaged, she got pregnant with Mateo. She was beyond happy, with a job she loved and with a lovely family of her own. They both were. But their happiness wasn’t meant to last. On one horrible day, her world came crashing down. Not only did she lose the love of the life, but his whole reputation was destroyed. Had she really married a criminal? Was Joaquin, the man who helped Mateo with his homework and was a gentle and loving husband to her, really a criminal? The hardest part, though, was realizing that he had been keeping things from her. In hindsight, it was clear there had been things he hadn’t told her. She didn’t know whether to be angry or upset. Did he not trust her? Or was there something else going on?
Following Joaquin’s supposed death, Sofia just couldn’t stay in the US. LA was covered in memories of her late husband and she felt she could never escape what happened as long as she stayed in the United States. Where it felt like everyone knew what her husband had reportedly done. It was around this time that she learnt about the little town of Kingsholm. Having met a local a couple days after the memorial service, she learnt about the beauty that surrounded the town and instantly felt it was a sign. A sign that her much needed new start would be waiting for her there. Hearing about how happy children in Norway were, she felt she was obliged to go. If she was going to be a single mother, she was going to be a single mother in a country where she knew she could make him happy. And so, with the help of some of Joaquin’s old colleagues, she packed up her life and moved to Kingsholm. Working at Run The World, Sofia slowly began to develop some semblance of a life without her husband. But the sadness always remained on the periphery on her vision. Tiredness, stress, or anything similar, and the sadness would narrow her vision and make her life that bit harder.

It’s Nate, honestly, who has the most sass, but it’s more like snark, I’d say. He has a lot of quick snarky responses and stuff and I love him. he’s very salty.
Sofia has all the class, though. Even trudging through a haunted swamp she is severely more classy than Gabe and Laurie combined.

katy and sofia are friends from high school and katy’s the kind of friend who always down to help her BESTEST BUD so she was super eager to help sofia with her ghost hunting work since she thinks ghosts are cool and she has the TECHNOLOGICAL INTEL to be a huge asset. morvin’s just a college kid they hired to be their equipment tech lol they dont even like ghosts that much but a paycheck’s a paycheck
