A/N: Well…I truly am sorry for how long I disappeared. Typical scorpio ghosting everyone am I right? 😬🫣 I hit a damn wall. No creativity flowing at all in any aspect of my life. I tried forcing it, but it only seemed to make it worse. I stepped away from writing anything for a solid several weeks. I found myself stuck in a repetitive circle every week. Thinking to myself, how am I supposed to imagine when my life is the same everyday? Maybe it’s just growing pains. Maybe, stepping into my thirties hit me harder than I anticipated. I’ve been a little lost in these winter months, but It’s okay. I’m feeling better. I’m imagining its summer sitting near a window when the sun is shining through. I’m telling myself the half melted nasty brown snow is pretty. Most important to anyone who is still waiting around, I’m actually writing again. Anyways, enough of my jumbled droning. This is probably not the best chapter I’ve put out. Might be boring. Not incredibly long, but its something. I hope you enjoy it even a little. I already have more written to come after this. The finale of our two lovebirds is near. Thank you greatly to anyone who has stuck around. Thank you to everyone that showed some love while I was away. Apologies if I came off as short or insincere to any messages. I get stressed replying to anything and it felt like ten fold knowing I had nothing solid to post. So…I am back. I’ve missed you all. I know the state of the world right now is truly so heavy. It’s so hard to consume everything coming out. So horrific how human beings are being treated for existing. I hope this can remain a safe little place of escape for us all. I hope you’re all safe and doing well despite the weight of the world. Happy Valentines Day.

The first few days after the fight all I could focus on was making sure Agatha was okay. I spent hours every day assuring her she wasn’t to blame. Ingraining it into her brain how much she meant to me.
It certainly wasn’t hard spending my time talking in a roundabout of how much I adore her.
As much as those pretty eyes rolled, it was too obvious how much she loved it.
When I felt sure she was okay, it was as if a switch flipped again. The crushing realization hitting that I could very well lose my parents over this.
If not forever, long enough to scar.
My mother had only texted once since leaving for their trip. A simple date for when they would return.
Agatha picked up on my shifting mind quick. Faster than I could. She was always gentle. Always. Over the last day or two as the sinking started, she grew extra soft.
I’d just gotten off work and slumped up the stairs.
Everything had felt extra weighted today. Little annoyances piling on by the hour adding to the rest of my swirling turmoil.
To top it off, I had barely talked to Agatha. She was busy with work as was I, but today it felt a bit more horrible.
As if reading my mind, her face lit up my phone with a call.
Long gone was the corporate still shot. I replaced it with a photo I’d taken much to her chagrin. I snapped it early one morning when I found her sipping a coffee in her robe, hair disheveled above a grumpy face.
She insisted I delete it because she looked ‘completely hideous’. Naturally I set it as her contact photo.
It had yet to not put a smile on my face.
“Hi, baby.” I picked up feeling a bit more cheerful, but a weary tiredness still clung to my vocal chords. “Hello, my darling girl.” Her soothing voice skimmed over the low humming of her car. “I’ll come to you tonight. No sense in you driving over since I’m already on the road.” I sunk onto the couch letting out a huff. “Sounds good.”
“Go get cozy, love.” The click of her directional sounded. “I’ll be there shortly.”
I let out another long breath without trying. “I’ll be waiting. Love you.”
“I love you too.” After only a few seconds hesitation, she hung up.
With much effort I dragged myself up and to the bathroom.
A shower always had a way of either settling me in thought or drowning me in it. Tonight was the latter.
I desperately wanted my parents trip to be a deep breath of reset. Each day proved the complete opposite. I felt like I was in a constant war with being angry and sad. As if I was going through all of the stages of grief. I wanted whatever was going to happen to just happen already.
It was like being trapped on the edge of a cliff. Would I get pulled back up, or slip into the fall of my family?
I scolded myself for being so dramatic. They couldn’t possibly stop loving me over this.
Unfortunately a tricky nudging voice convinced me maybe, they could.
I stood under the water in a spaced way after all the soap had slipped down the drain.
When I eventually stepped out, I groaned realizing I hadn’t grabbed a change of clothes. I shivered out the bathroom door in a towel speeding to my closet. I was just tugging a finishing sweater on when Agatha stepped in.
I floated right into her. Every one of my muscles released in relief the second she wrapped me up. A long pent up lungful of air pushed out of me against her shoulder.
“How was your day, kitten?” She asked as her lips ghosted my cheek before a kiss.
I let out another long, almost never ending breath. “Stupid.”
She laughed softly and started rocking us side to side. “My poor girl.”
“How was yours?” I tightened my grip around her mid sentence and scrunched my face into her chest.
“Headache inducing.” Her fingers tilted my chin up to lock her eyes on mine. “All good now.”
There was no time for a response before she pressed her lips to mine.
She moved me with gentle hands. Her mouth like an anesthetic to it all.
“You smell good.” She hummed after her words and kissed me towards the couch.
I smiled against her lips. “Well, I hope I don’t smell bad after a shower.”
A low groan pressed through her smile. She pushed me further back, her hands holding me like something precious.
“Almost your birthday.” She murmured out as she peppered kisses to my mouth. “Birthday girl.”
I smiled against her as she guided me gently down to the couch. She sat next to me lips never leaving mine. Her leg draped over me as she pulled back, just barely.
“What would would you like to do on the big day?” She kissed the corner of my mouth after mumbling the last word against it.
“Oh.” I trailed off reaching up to graze her cheek. “Honestly? I just wanna stay in with you. Maybe have Chloe and Brooks over for a bit after work.” I kissed her softly holding her face between my hands. “Just wanna be with you.”
A small happy sound came from her as a look of pure joy drowned her face.
“That.” Another kiss and a wandering hand. “Can be arranged.”
—————————————————————————
The day before my birthday came and Agatha was no doubt more excited than I was. You’d think she was a child on Christmas morning.
She’d been leaving little notes all over for me to find. Small gifts here and there. It was ridiculous and so very Agatha.
Noon had just passed in the cafe when she came in unannounced. Her smile was wide and striking.
I had to catch my breath for a second taking her in. “Hi, smiley.” I greeted her softly.
She rounded the counter and somehow said smile grew.
“You’re gorgeous.” She whispered when she got close enough and ran a hand against my back.
I feigned a scoff and rolled my eyes leaning into her as a corner of my lips betrayed me. “I’m acceptable.”
Her fingers pinched my side as a playful glare simmered on her face.
“Don’t test me.” She leaned in to whisper against my ear. “It’s almost your birthday. I don’t want to have to punish you my girl.”
I steeled myself, but still pressed into her voice.
“Agatha.” I warned softly. Chloe caught my eye across the room with a piercing, evil grinned look. I rolled my eyes again and pushed Agatha off gently. “You.” I scrunched my nose at her. “Are dangerous.”
Chloe sauntered over to us.
I swear she had grown a third arm somewhere. It was almost seamless how she slipped back into work with a cast.
“Hello, lovebirds.” Came her teasing greeting. “Up to no good?”
I snorted and started a fresh pot of coffee to busy myself.
The more comfortable these two got together, the more troublesome they were. I had a feeling I’d be getting ganged up on in no time.
“Always.” Agatha replied smug as ever.
I turned after finishing the pot and leaned back crossing my arms eying the both of them.
“Ready for the big party tomorrow?” Chloe asked with a wide grin. “I got another RSVP today.” I glared between the two of them.
“Oh, yes.” Agatha nodded with a stupid smirk. “I received twelve today. All coming.”
“You two.” I trailed off shaking my head. “Aren’t supposed to fuck with me on my birthday eve.”
They both laughed and Agatha slipped closer. “Darling, I thought you wanted a big rager?”
Her face twisted up playfully on the last word.
I huffed, one side of my mouth turning up a crack. Giving me away again.
“Yeah, I told Agatha you love parties. Always have.” Chloe added an extra dash in.
“If said party consists of more than you two and Brooks, I think I’ll need to be sedated.” I reached over and pinched Agatha’s hip lightly.
Chloe was saved by the bell above the door.
“Just us, pumpkin.” Agatha whispered as her fingers danced along my arm. “Promise.”
I wanted to kiss her stupid lips. Instead, I moved to pour the decaf coffee just ordered.
—————————————————————————
I woke to hands under my shirt against my stomach and kisses along my jaw.
I groaned blindly wrapping my arms around her tight.
“Morning birthday girl.” Agatha whispered and kissed the corner of my mouth.
I hummed pressing closer into her neck. “Mornin.”
I finally opened my eyes and kissed her lazily.
It was clear she’d been up for a bit. She didn’t have that usual sleepy daze about her. Also, her hair was brushed. If she’d just woken up it’d be in it’s usual disarray.
She pinned me down with a sudden show of strength. Hands slipping to my hips, fingers tucking under the waistband of my sweatpants.
“Time for your first gift.” She smiled against my lips and started slipping pecks down my neck.
I let out a low noise as she tugged my pants to my ankles.
She wasted no time. As soon as she ducked under and my legs were on her back she dove in.
—————————————————————————
I was on cloud nine floating down the stairs to Agatha’s kitchen as requested.
There she waited with a stunning grin next to an absurd amount of food.
I laughed walking over to her slipping my arms about her waist. “You do realize we’re two people right?” I teased kissing her gently.
You name it, it was on the table. Any breakfast food you could imagine practically.
“Hush.” She twirled me towards the table. “I already told Chloe and Janice not to eat breakfast because there would be leftovers.”
I sighed shaking my head. “Always have a plan don’t you?”
“Yes, actually.” She pushed me gently. “Now, let’s eat. Calories don’t count on birthdays.”
Halfway through breakfast Agatha slid a small black box my way.
I stared silent at it as a mouthful of eggs sat in my cheek.
“Don’t worry.” She teased low. “It’s not that kind of ring.” I swallowed around a small laugh as she added. “Yet”
My eyes snapped from the box to her earning a soft chuckle.
The very idea of this woman proposing to me had my mind breaking. The insanity of it.
“Yet.” I rolled my eyes and picked up the box with an amused scoff.
I was trying very hard to pretend it wasn’t affecting me. I knew without even looking at her that she saw right through it.
I opened the box and was pleasantly surprised to find a simple ring. No fuss about it.
A plain silver ring. The type that didn’t look as if it would scratch easy like every other ring I own.
Of course, the most important part being the elegant letters on it. No fuss again. Only my two favorite letters in the alphabet.
AH.
“A little forward of myself, I know.” Her words were easy, but her tells gave away her nerves.
The thumb her chin was leaning on rubbed back and forth. Her other hand rest on the table in an almost claw pose, fingers tapping.
“Worried?” I asked biting my cheek to hide how big I wanted to smile. “Afraid I may not want to walk around with your initials on display?”
She shrugged with her blue eyes dancing all over me. I slipped it on my ring finger, for the drama of it all, and twirled it.
“I’ll never take it off.” I started soft then looked up grinning. “Unless it turns my finger green.” A snort ripped from her as she reached for my hand playing with the band.
“Darling, if this turns your finger green I’ll be making a jeweler very uncomfortable with some choice words.” The last of her words danced on my fingers as she kissed the ring.
I scooted my chair back and moved to sit on her lap.
“I’ll keep it on always.” I turned my head to kiss her cheek. “Until there’s something better to sit on this finger I guess.”
Her arms tugged around my waist as a small kiss pressed in slow.
“I have a feeling that day will come.” She whispered with a little shake to her voice.
—————————————————————————
It really was ridiculous how much that ring conversation lingered on every other thought.
Agatha drove me to work after. She insisted ‘birthday girls don’t drive’.
She disappeared after to most likely prepare something absurd for later.
Like clockwork, every few minutes I thought about it as I fiddled the ring she gave me.
I’d never dreamt up a wedding too hard in my mind. I especially hardened to the idea the older I got. The dark side of my mind was set on me never even finding anyone who’d be interested. If I did, we’d elope or never do the damn thing.
Now here I was dreaming like a kid about marrying the woman of my dreams.
It was all fine and silly until that dark side of my mind spilled over. The realization if we did marry one day, my parents may not be there to see it.
It was getting sickening how this whole thing pushed in a storm cloud every. Single. Day.
The lack luster texts I received from my parents were an added poke in the side I was trying to ignore.
A simple group text.
‘Happy Birthday.’
‘We love you.’
Dad sent the love part of course. I threw back a thank you with a heart. I was determined not to let them ruin today. Especially with how much effort Agatha was putting into it.
Noon rolled around and her effort showed again. The door in the back slammed shut with a rustling to follow. I moved to look through the window to find Agatha carrying arm fulls of food.
A smile on high wattage slammed me in the chest when she caught my eye.
“Birthday lunch has arrived.” She called over to Chloe and I.
I laughed through my nose and turned to Chloe. “She’s crazy.”
“Crazy in love.” She sung over a laugh.
Janice and Agatha were in conversation opening the food when we walked back.
“I think I like your birthday more than mine.” Janice joked as I walked over.
We all laughed as I slipped an arm around Agatha and settled my chin on her shoulder.
She leaned back into me tucking her hair behind her ear. “Thought I’d get that new restaurant you’ve been wanting to try. The tacos smell insane.”
“Again.” I sighed smiling. “This is too much food. I’m scared to see what dinner holds.”
She pushed into me with a laugh.
It really smelled amazing. I kissed her ear gently.
“Thank you.” I whispered it and squeezed her side.
The four of us sat in the back picking off of everything together. A lunch break sign resting on the door locking everyone out.
It was worth the grumps that would complain about it when we unlocked it.
—————————————————————————
“Go on you two.” Chloe broken the chatter between Agatha and I. “I’ll see you in a couple hours.”
It was just shy of an hour until closing. “You sure?” I glanced at her cast. “I know you’re a fully capable, temporarily one armed woman, but.”
I trailed off as Agatha was already tugging me to the door.
“I’m fine.” Chloe laughed it off with a wave of her hand and a head shake. “Brooks is already on the way to keep me company.”
The grabby hands kept tugging me back wordlessly.
“Fine.” I smiled grazing a hand over one of Agatha’s. “I owe ya. See you soon. You got the address right?”
Chloe nodded as Agatha’s quiet persistence got me to the door.
“Got it. Big house with the gate.” Her smirk grew wider. “Better hurry. I don’t want to walk in on anything scandalous.”
I laughed and shook my head.
“Oh, you’re safe.” Agatha finally spoke up. “That’s for later. What I’ve got planned is gonna take longer than two hours.”
“Agatha Harkness.” A flush crept up as I scolded her.
The two of them laughed, Chloe’s drowning out as the door shut us outside.
I glared playfully as her hands still held me tight tugging.
“Don’t give me that look.” She smiled wide.
I had to pause for a second. I couldn’t have been actually mad if I tried. She looked so happy and carefree.
“You’re lucky you’re cute.” I smiled and kissed her as she walked backwards.
A laugh breathed out against me through her nose.
Like two lovesick fools we kissed to her car. Her back hitting the side of it only made it easier.
“I’m serious by the way.” She murmured against my mouth.
I hummed in a curious way still lost in the haze of her.
Her left hand slid in my hair and tugged it back gently. “My plan may lead to a sleepless night.” It leaked out of her throat low and dangerous.
I went still pressed against her. My eyes roamed her own trying to steady myself. It only made it worse.
“Get in the car.” I backed up shakily. “Before I drag you up those fucking stairs.”
A loud cackle ripped from her as she turned and held the passenger door for me.
“Hop in, kitten.” She purred like one herself.
I blinked at her for a few seconds as if trying to snap a mental image of the moment.
—————————————————————————
It was with only the deepest of self control, on both of our parts, that we were decent when Chloe and Brooks showed up.
The night was exactly perfect. My mind only wandered over thoughts of my parents here and there.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t getting antsy as the night grew deeper.
I couldn’t get Agatha’s promise out of my head.
Said temptress was laughing with Brooks across the room about something. I stared at her in awe as usual. She was incredibly tipsy and it was endearing how goofy she had gotten.
“You’ve got cartoon heart eyes.” Chloe nudged me breaking the trance.
I nodded right away. “I do.”
There was a brief moment where Chloe just stared at me. I laughed and shook my head, eyebrows pinching in to question it.
“Seeing you this happy is so cool.” She said quietly just for me, then stood up. “Come on babe. I’m ready to go.”
Brooks shot a look to her then the grandfather clock in the corner. “Aww, come on.”
I laughed quietly at the two in the corner. They looked like two kids who’s playdate was coming to an end.
“These two have better things to do.” Grinning, Chloe grabbed his arm practically dragging him to the door.
I stood and followed laughing. “Jesus, Chloe you don’t have to leave.”
“I’ll open tomorrow.” She ignored what I’d said. “It’s okay if you’re a little late.”
“Chlo.” I tried but she held a hand up.
“Happy birthday.” Chloe smiled fondly over us both. “See you tomorrow.” Brooks still looked half lost as she pulled him out the front door shutting it quietly.
I laughed and turned to my tipsy love. “You got in her head earlier.”
With a bit lip she tugged me firmly into her. “Are you sure it wasn’t the way you’ve been staring at me for the past twenty minutes?”
“Alright.” I rolled my eyes playfully as I smoothed my hands over her shoulders. “Maybe it was, but you certainly got into my head earlier.” I kissed her before continuing with a whisper. “Was it all talk?”
“No.” She pushed into my lips like I was something to devour. “I’ve got one last present for you.”
I felt a bit shaky from it all as she gently pushed me away. Her feet carried her backwards towards the staircase. I felt caught in her eyes like a web.
“Go get the rest of that wine bottle, darling.” Her hair had a touch of wild to it as she looked down at me. “Meet me upstairs.” I nodded with a dazed smile and slowly backed away to the kitchen, only turning away when she was out of sight.
I didn’t bother to search for the glasses we’d been using. With the bottle gripped in my left hand I breezed upstairs with a racing heart.
The bedroom was only lit from the small lamp on the side of the bed, and a faint strip of light from under the closed bathroom door.
I stared at the door as I set the bottle next to the lamp.
“I’ll be out in a minute.” Agatha called from the other side of the door.
“Okay.” I weakly shot back.
My eyes stayed glued to the door as I sat on the very edge of the bed. Pure assumption had me awaiting what she looked like behind it.
Every possibility raced through my head and I still wasn’t prepared for the damn door opening.
One look, one single look and I honest to god fell off the fucking bed backwards.
My face was hot from it all. The embarrassment, the wine and the sight of her.
Laughter split from her as I slowly peeked back over the bed. “Are you okay?” She asked barely holding herself together.
All I could do is stare, barely letting myself take her in with bouncing eyes.
The purple laced bra was one thing. Sure. Great. Amazing.
The matching purple strap harnessed to her like it was made for her? Yeah, not even a little prepared for that.
“Hit your head?” She asked smug and low as she practically oozed over to the bed.
Every step she took was like a hot wax dripping down the side of a candle.
“I…” It was all I could get out still knelt next to the bed.
She reached the opposite side of the bed. Her eyes held a bit of worry now and her hand was pulling at the fabric of the comforter.
“If it’s too much, say the word and it’s gone, darling.” She spoke soft and it hit me square in the chest.
Her confidence was waning under my helpless reaction. I stood up shakily, a mirror stance of hers directly across from each other.
“You have to bear with me.” It came out quiet as I continued to drink her all in. “This is the hottest thing I’ve ever seen so I need a moment or twelve.”
Her laugh rung out across the bed. The dominant confidence slipped back onto her like a glove.
“Do I have the go ahead?” She moved around the bed slowly towards me.
I nodded standing like stone for her approach.
As soon as she was at arms length she reached for me. Her left hand firmed on my hip while the right slid against the back of my neck. I remained still, heart racing and eyes hazy on her.
“My perfect girl.” She whispered it against my lips before sealing hers against mine.
Within seconds I was kissing back with a fever as I held her waist in an unsteady way.
Her hands deftly tugged at my clothes. I was lost in all of it. Her touch as clothes dropped. Her lips anywhere they wished to land on me.
She looked me up and down after every piece of fabric was rid.
“My love.” She dragged out and pulled me flush.
A sharp intake of breath shook through me as the strap between her legs grazed between my own.
I clung to her shoulders. “Agatha.”
A throaty chuckle hit against my ear, swirling deep in my gut.
“Go rest that pretty head on the pillows.” She commanded sweetly.
I obeyed eyes never leaving her as I lay back. Everything I did felt awkward under her watch.
That look in her eyes chiseled it away. It was near impossible to feel anything other than beautiful being held under it long enough.
A dark smile crinkled her eyes as she crawled towards me. My lips turned up at the sight. As soon as her hands pushed out against my knees, my chest started moving faster above my erratic breathing and heartbeat.
Cool fingers slid up my thighs as she leaned down to my ear. Her hair tickled my face and neck.
“Hey.” She said softly nudging my ear with a hot kiss. “Just say the word and everything stops, okay?”
I let out a shaky laugh as I wrapped my arms around her. “I appreciate it, but firstly, I’m very aware you’d never do anything against my will, and second? I can pretty much guarantee I will not want you to stop.”
A groan pushed out of her against my ear making my head spin. Kisses trailed my neck as her hands smoothed the inside of my thighs.
After a nibble at my jaw, she moved her face back to hover above mine.
“Is my pretty love ready?” Her nose nudged mine as fingers started a gentle slow circling press between my legs.
I let out a short sharp breath as I nodded. With eyes ever locked, she pressed it against me dragging it slowly up and down. My eyes slammed shut as I clung to her shoulders harder, a small noise pushing out of me.
“Perfect.” She whispered as my eyes opened again landing on her vicious smile. “My pretty perfect darling.”
She leaned closer with every word until her nose was against mine again. I lay under her speechless. Every letter of the alphabet jumbling into nonsense. Her right hand slid down my thigh slow and sure. A shuddering gasp rocked my lungs as two of her fingers dipped as far in as they could reach.
A breath of a laugh slipped from her mouth against mine. I clung to her shoulders timed perfect as she started a slow rhythm. Her lips so close fell into mine with a heavy kiss.
She pulled back after a few seconds, fingers disappearing at the same time. The clock felt like it stopped. Her eyes holding and reading mine. Hot unsteady breaths pushing out and against the others.
My body curved up into her as she pushed in, like I was being abducted by her.
Letters finally clicked into my head forming the only string of them that mattered. “Agatha.”
One look down when she hit the limit was almost enough to have me spilling over.
“Jesus.” I whispered breathless covering my face with both hands.
A cocky laugh pierced the air alongside a forceful rock of her hips. My hands instantly slammed to her back again.
“Agatha.” I stammered again with a hot face. “This…I…not…fuck.”
Her eyebrows pushed in morphing her face into something desperate. As soon as I saw the shift, I knew I was done.
Hands latched onto my hips and she leaned back to my lips for whisper. “I’m going to wreck my pretty birthday girl now.”
There wasn’t a moment for me to react before her whole body started a steady rhythm into me.
Seconds passed, the room filled with filthy sounds alongside the both of us moaning. Completely alone in the world. Perfectly tied.
“Agatha I’m…” I couldn’t finish the sentence with the way her smug energy picked up the speed.
It hadn’t even been a minute and I was digging into her shoulders trying to hold on.
There was no use. She didn’t want it to last. She knew she was breaking me fast and ate it up.
My eyes opened onto the sight of her again.
The wicked soft gleam she had on me deepened as she sent me over.
“All mine.” Growled out of her muddled under all the sounds she ripped from me.
I stared up at her breathless in the low light. If I had a handful of memories to keep, if I ever lost them all, this would be at the top of the list. The image of her just like this.
She leaned in for a soft kiss, hands still press against my hips. I kissed her back like I wanted to crawl inside of her mouth. Hands tucked into her hair.
“I’m not letting you go.” She murmured against my lips. “Ever.”
—————————————————————————
My alarm blared and I groaned rolling into the already tight grip Agatha had on me.
The night felt like it lasted forever. Sleep waned here and there. Not much time would pass before Agatha or I woke each other again. Hands roaming and lips kissing. The both of us sleepy, but desperate for more.
It was all well and fun and perfect and amazing and everything. Now with the day looming ahead as the sun started to rise…Hell it was still perfect.
Agatha already set in on being up to no good before her eyes even opened.
“Hey.” I warned playfully with a laugh. “Don’t even start you wicked thing.”
A warm breathy laugh ghosted my neck before her lips kept their pecking. Sinful, heavy fingers skimming my skin.
I poked her side laughing again. “Agatha.”
“Chloe said you could be late.” She moved over me, eyes opening finally before kissing me hard.
I sighed into it. “Well.” She kissed me again as if trying to shut me up. “Agatha.”
We both laughed against each other and finally she pulled back enough for me to get a sentence in.
“Can we at least be productive and take this to the shower?” I flitted my fingers up and down her back.
She hummed against my lips and kissed. “Brilliant little thing you are.”
—————————————————————————
It was truly amazing that we didn’t run out of hot water. Also amazing that I was only forty six minutes late to work.
Agatha dropped me off outside and kissed me almost breathless into the passenger seat.
“Have a good day, kitten.”
I felt like the night was tattooed on my forehead.
The night and this morning.
The sly thin eyed smile Chloe fixed me had a blush creeping up under my rolling eyes.
“You look refreshed.” Chloe broke the silence after a few minutes.
“Shut the hell up.” I bit back a laugh wanting to creep out.
“What?” She played dumb shrugging. “How was the rest of your night? Watch a nice movie or something?”
I glared at her as she smiled innocently. A moment passed before we both burst into laughter.
