Wincing as she turned to her side (Y/n) groaned in pain, feeling completely miserable. "Babe I'm home." Nick called out as he entered their shared apartment, the news momentarily exciting (Y/n), before the pain came back reminding her rather rudely how much pain she was in. "Babe?" Nick called out as he walked down the hallway which led to their bedroom. "Hi honey." Nick smiled brightly at his loving girlfriend, who lay in bed smiling up at him. "Hi Nicky." (Y/n) murmured softly as he sat beside her on the bed. "How are you feeling?" He gently brushed her hair back, being mindful of her infected ear. "Like hell." She frowned as a throbbing pain shot through her ear, making her whimper in pain, which brought a pained expression to Nick's face. "I'm so sorry baby." Nick whined softly, feeling as of he was letting her down. "Can we cuddle?" (Y/n) gave Nick puppy dog eyes, even though Nick needed little to no convincing. "Come here." Nick moved to lean against the headboard, still dawned in his uniform. "I love you." (Y/n) whispered as she curled into his side, focusing all of her attention on her boyfriend. "I love you too." Nick hummed with a bright smile on his handsome face. "How long is your break?" She murmured, knowing that Nick was still on the clock. "I've got an hour." Nick's right hand gently rubbed her back, while his left hand toyed with her fingers. "I brought some food and painkillers." Nick added, smiling when (Y/n) squeezed him a little tighter. "Can we just lay here for a little while longer?" (Y/n) tilted her head back, looking into Nick's eyes. "Of course baby." He cooed softly, leaning down to kiss her forehead.

*I'm actually dealing with an ear infection again right now, and I could seriously use a soft Orc boyfriend like Nick, to just fawn over me and distract me from the pain right about now. (T^T)
